The back design of the iPhone 18 Pro will focus on color harmony

Leaks continue to come about the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max models that Apple will introduce next year. Some claims that came to the fore in the past weeks suggested that a transparent design approach could be adopted on the panel at the bottom of the camera island of the new Pro models. However, a new rumor originating from China shows that, contrary to this expectation, Apple’s design language will evolve in a different direction.

According to the latest information shared, Apple is trying to completely match the colors of the aluminum case with the glass pane on the back of the device in the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models. In the current iPhone 17 Pro series, there are tonal differences between these two materials, creating a slight two-tone appearance throughout the device. This situation draws attention with the color transitions that become especially evident under light. However, eliminating these tonal differences in the new model can provide a more solid and harmonious appearance.

The transparent design claim for iPhone 18 Pro is also on the agenda

Apple’s efforts to achieve perfect color harmony between glass and metal surfaces can make a significant difference in the aesthetic structure of the device. This approach may be more attractive, especially for users with a minimalist design approach. However, it is not yet clear how this change will affect the production process of the device or whether it will limit the new color options.

Despite all this, it still remains unclear whether the transparent design claim, which has been brought to the agenda in recent weeks, has been completely shelved. The possibility that the glass panel at the bottom of the camera island may be transparent in some color options remains on the agenda. Therefore, Apple may be planning to offer different design touches in different color variations.

This effort by Apple to strengthen the design integrity of its new models seems to aim to visually improve the user experience while protecting the brand image. Although this information is based only on claims for now, there is a high probability of a notable change considering the accuracy of past leaks.

The new iPhone series is expected to be introduced with the iPhone Fold model in September 2026. Accordingly, it is possible that Apple will rearrange its production processes and supply chain in accordance with these design changes over the next year. As developments become clearer, more details about the final design of the iPhone 18 Pro are expected to be reflected in the technology world.
