Tesla Model Y’s renewed design revealed

Tesla’s popular Model Y is undergoing significant design changes with the newly leaked “Juniper” model. One of Tesla’s best-selling vehicles worldwide and also on sale in Turkey, the Model Y is drawing attention with its renewed design. New photos shared by a user on Reddit reveal changes made to the vehicle’s rear and interior design. In these leaked photos, the vehicle’s rear with the safety covers removed and a red light strip with the word “Tesla” on the trunk lid can be seen. The current model featured more traditional left and right taillights and a simple “T” logo in the middle.

Another photo also reveals the interior of the vehicle. Along with the new design, the seats appear to have holes for ventilation. This feature is also found in the completely redesigned Model 3, as reported by Not a Tesla App. There is also an interior lighting strip on the dashboard and doors, similar to the interior design of the Model Y in China. However, the lighting strip on this test Model Y vehicle extends to the middle of the door, compared to the longer strip on the Model 3, and looks a bit added.

Expectations and reactions to the Model Y’s new design

Since the Tesla Model Y is a vehicle that has received great acclaim worldwide, every change made is carefully scrutinized and expectations are high among users. Users who love the current Model Y hope that the new look will also be appreciated by the masses. Initially, it was thought that the new Model Y would have the narrow and prominent headlights of the updated Model 3. However, the front of the vehicle has not yet been revealed in this leak.

Originally, the Model 3 and Model Y were very similar in design, sharing many common components. However, with the new design, it looks like there will be more significant differences between the two models. Still, the Model Y’s interior is expected to be largely similar to the Model 3. Hopefully, the new Model Y won’t replicate the steering wheel-less driving experience of the Model 3 (and the S, X, and Cybertruck), which has been the subject of customer complaint reports from J.D. Power.

Tesla’s new design move is shaped by user feedback and market demands. More details and official introduction of the new Model Y are expected in the coming days.
