Sony’s new Astro Bot game and custom DualSense controller revealed

Sony is preparing to meet gamers with its new Astro Bot game for PlayStation 5. This Mario-like adventure game will be released on September 6 and aims to offer players a different experience. Sony also introduced a special DualSense controller with this game.

Sony Astro Bot Game and DualSense Innovations

The Astro Bot Limited Edition DualSense wireless controller features a design dedicated to the Astro Bot character, who was first introduced in a VR mini-game collection in 2013. This special controller aims to offer players a different experience, both visually and tactilely. The controller’s touchpad features two robotic eyes, while the grips and buttons are decorated with Astro Bot’s characteristic blue colors.

Sony has detailed how the new 3D platformer takes advantage of the DualSense controller. Developers have increased the number of textures players can feel through the controller, making the game feel more realistic. Adaptive trigger response has been adjusted to suit the character’s new abilities in the game. For example, it will be possible to feel the vibration of the booster engine when using a jetpack.

The company says it’s putting the same amount of care into every new power-up in the game, including the Dual Speeder, which turns the controller into a motion-controlled spaceship. These changes will apply to all DualSense controllers, not just the custom-designed controller.

The overseas price of the themed controller has been determined as $80 and will be available on the same day as the game. The Astro Bot game aims to offer gamers a different platform experience and seems quite ambitious in this context. The game offers a fun adventure for children and adults, while immersing them in the game with tactile feedback thanks to the DualSense controller.

Astro Bot is a highly anticipated production developed for PlayStation 5. The news that the game and the themed controller will be released on September 6 will create great excitement in the gaming world. Sony’s new move aims to not only offer players a visual feast, but also a different experience in terms of touch. In this context, Astro Bot and the DualSense controller stand out as an example of Sony’s innovative approach to gaming technology.
