Sony has launched the Sony Xperia 1 with an ultra-tall, 21:9 CinemaWide display at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 in Barcelona. The Xperia 1 comes as a successor to the Xperia XZ3 and was originally rumored as the Xperia XZ4, is also lauded to be the world’s first 4K OLED phone. Sony has also given a triple rear camera setup on the Xperia 1 that is fueled by an Eye AF technology and holds up to 10 fps burst shooting with AF/ AE tracking. There is also a Dolby Atmos integration on the new Xperia phone to offer a surround sound experience.
Price & Specifications Details Of Sony Xperia 1 Smartphone
At the launch event of the phone, Sony didn’t announce the price of the phone but as per the reports, the smartphone will be around EUR 799 which is approximately equal to Rs 74200. The smartphone will be available for purchase in the US from late spring. There will be two color options of the phone – Purple, and Black in the US. The global variant of the phone will have Black, Grey, White & Purple color options.
Sony Xperia 1 is a dual sim smartphone that supports Nano sim card. It runs on Android Pie 9.0 operating system. The smartphone has a 6.5-inches display with the screen resolution of 1644×3840 pixels. The display of the phone is OLED CinemaWide display with an aspect ratio of 21:9 and the display is protected with the Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection.
There is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC on the phone which is paired with the 6GB RAM. The Snapdragon 855 processor will give up to 25% faster CPU performance and 40% GPU performance. For intensive gaming and apps, there is a Snapdragon Elite Gaming.
Moving ahead to the camera of the phone, the Xperia 1 smartphone has a triple rear camera with the 16MP primary Exmor sensor, 12MP secondary sensor, and a 12MP tertiary sensor. On the front for the video calling and selfies, there is an 8MP camera with f/2.0 aperture. The rear camera of the smartphone has a Cinema Pro feature which is powered by CineAlta. The smartphone has a 3300mAh battery.
