Sony PS5 update improves DualSense audio experience

Sony has released a new update for PS5. While this update improves the speaker and microphone on DualSense controllers; It also adds pointers and emoji reactions to the Screen Sharing feature. Adjusting the brightness of the PS5 power indicator is also among the features of the PS5 update.

Sony is updating the firmware for its DualSense and DualSense Edge wireless controllers as part of this update to improve the output volume of in-game sounds and voice chat. The microphones on both controllers have been improved with a new machine learning model that eliminates background noise when the button is pressed.

The Screen Share function on PS5 also takes pointers and emoji reactions, allowing friends to draw an educational line to highlight areas or objects on a shared screen. Viewers can also send emoji reactions to the host of the screen share. It can be said that this will be a nice celebration after defeating the bosses.

Users will be able to disable these pointers and emojis if they are distracted. A PlayStation mobile app update will also be coming later this month to allow iOS and Android users to use these new Screen Sharing interactions.

Sony lets PS5 owners adjust power indicator brightness

Sony also allows PS5 owners to adjust the brightness of the PS5’s power indicator as part of this update. Users will be able to choose from three options. These will be dim, medium and bright (default). However, users will not be able to completely disable the power indicator.
