Leaks about Samsung’s new generation foldable phones continue to come. Screen protectors, which were recently released on the internet and claimed to belong to the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra models, gave new clues about the cover screen designs of the devices. The shared image more clearly reveals the differences in screen size and ratio between the three models.
Ice Universe, a reliable source who shared the leak, published an image showing the screen protectors, which are said to belong to Samsung’s yet-to-be-introduced foldable phones, side by side. In the visual, the size of the external screens of the devices attracts attention. Previous claims that Samsung plans to diversify its product range more significantly this year have thus found new support.
At first glance, it appears that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra has the longest cover screen of the trio. The general proportions of the screen seem very close to the design lines of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which was introduced last year. This indicates that Samsung may prefer an external screen that approaches a more traditional smartphone usage experience in the Ultra model.
Galaxy Z Fold 8 seems to take a different approach. According to the leak, the cover screen of the device has a shorter structure compared to the Ultra model. Despite this, it is noteworthy that the screen is wider. This design choice can offer different advantages, especially in terms of one-handed use and content viewing experience.
Galaxy Z Flip 8 may retain its design line
The Galaxy Z Flip 8 screen protector in the shared image also shows that Samsung may not make any major changes on the cover screen side. Apparently, the outer screen of the device continues the design approach used in the current Galaxy Z Flip 7 model. This approach brings with it comments that Samsung may focus on improvements on the hardware and software side while maintaining a mature design in the Flip series.
This leak coincides with other information that has emerged in recent weeks. Model devices, which were previously stated to belong to the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series, were shared on the internet and different models were compared side by side. In addition, CAD-based rendering images revealed the general design lines of the devices. The new screen saver images provide more concrete information, especially about screen ratios and physical dimensions.
On the other hand, it has not yet been confirmed by Samsung whether the screen protectors belong to real products. Despite this, shares coming from sources with high hit rates in the past, such as Ice Universe, are closely followed in the technology world. While Samsung is expected to introduce its new foldable phones in the coming months, such leaks already help create a clearer picture about the design preferences of the devices. Current information shows that the company is preparing to offer a wider range of options for user needs with different screen sizes and form factors, while largely maintaining the design language in the Fold and Flip series.
