Screen protectors of the Galaxy S26 series appeared in a leak

A new leak has emerged regarding the Galaxy S26 series, which Samsung is expected to announce in early 2026. The images sourced from China include screen protectors claimed to belong to the S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra. These shared images offer important clues about the preliminary design of the devices. An official statement has not been made yet.

When you look closely at the details of the protectors, you can see that the frames are both very thin and symmetrical. While the Ultra version differed from the previous models with its different corner structure, this time it appears that all models will have the same screen curve. At this point, it can be said that Samsung is trying to reduce design differences and create a more consistent visual integrity. However, this visual closeness can make the technical distinctions of the models less visible. This has the potential to create confusion in user preferences. In addition to all these, the flat structure of these screens is also important for ease of use.

The Galaxy S26 series is expected to offer a more holistic view with its common screen structure.

Compared to curved screens, flat screens offer many advantages in terms of both ergonomic and practical use. In particular, the edge compatibility of screen protectors can provide better results on flat panels. In addition, flat screens allow manufacturers to choose a more controlled structure in terms of both cost and durability. In this context, it is not a surprise that Samsung chose this direction in the new series. On the other hand, it is also a matter of curiosity how this change will be received by users. While the Ultra model has had a more “premium” image so far, there is a possibility that this difference will disappear.

In previous series, the distinction in the screen structure visually revealed which model the user was using. However, this new approach may be welcomed, especially by those who like simple design. However, continued differences in the phones’ specifications may offset this similarity. Many factors, from camera to battery capacity, seem to determine the model choice. At this point, users will need to pay attention not only to the design but also to processor preference and camera capabilities. Because looks no longer tell everything.

According to past leaks, it is stated that the S26 series will be offered with different processors in different markets. Exynos 2600, Samsung’s own production, will be preferred in some countries. In contrast, it is expected to be sold with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Elite processor in other regions. It is not yet clear how the performance and energy efficiency differences will take shape here. However, looking at previous experiences, users have more confidence in versions with Snapdragon processors. Exynos’ past performance, especially in terms of heating and battery performance, raises some doubts.

It has been a method that Samsung has been using for a long time to differentiate its processor preference regionally. Therefore, it is very important for users to pay attention to which model comes with which processor. On the other hand, hardware differences can seriously affect the user experience. These differences become more evident especially in games and applications that require intensive processing. This increases the value of mastering the details in technical choices. In short, processor preference is not just a feature, it is a factor that directly affects the experience.

February 25, 2026 is the date marked for the official introduction of the devices. This date coincides with the timing of previous Galaxy Unpacked events. Therefore, it is highly likely that the sales process will begin shortly after the event.
