The Samsung Photo Editor app is getting some advanced editing capabilities with the Galaxy AI-powered One UI 6.1 update. One of them is called “Generative Regulation”. In Generative Editing, objects within a circle drawn by the user are changed, and this job is done better than before.

Another feature added to the application with the new version is called Magnetic Lasso. It becomes possible for the lines drawn with the Magnetic Lasso to stick to objects.

Magnetic Lasso is used when a photo is opened in the Gallery. When users select Edit and then select Objects under Tools, the Magnetic Lasso appears in the upper-right corner. This feature is turned on by default, but can be turned off by tapping the button.

New Samsung Photo Editor app not available on all One UI 6.1 devices

The new features are only accessible through the latest version of the Photo Editor app. However, the update has not been added to the Galaxy Store yet. It is also worth remembering that these capabilities can only be used on phones with One UI 6.1 installed with Galaxy AI features.
