Samsung’s increased and focus on virtual reality technologies continues to work unabated. The South Korean -based technology company is currently in the process of developing three different devices in the field of mixed reality. Only one of these devices is officially confirmed: Project Moohan. This device, which is expected to be the Samsung Galaxy XR, will appear before users as a full -fledged VR/AR title. However, a new news published by ET News reveals that Samsung is not content with it and that it works on two new XR glasses models: Project Haean and Project Jinju.
According to the news, Haean and Jinju projects are designed as intelligent glasses with mixed reality. It is stated that the devices will be no different from an ordinary glasses in terms of exterior appearance, but despite their fine -frame designs, it will contain advanced components such as sensor and camera. Thanks to this hardware, both virtual objects will be integrated into the real world and users will interact with the environment.
It is stated that glasses, which are allegedly equipped with sound transmission on the frame, can make sound transfer without the need for traditional speakers. This will make it possible for the devices to be lighter and more portable. However, the design and technical specifications of both models have not yet been finalized. The fact that Samsung did not clarify some basic decisions in the development process reduces the likelihood of the launch of devices in the short term.
However, the same report suggests that Samsung can present these two glasses models with the Galaxy XR title, which is expected to be introduced at the end of the year. The Galaxy XR is estimated to have a price tag of approximately $ 2,500 in the US market. Haean and Jinju models are thought to be at such a high price level due to less advanced equipment.
Samsung aims to address different segments
In the mixed reality market, competition has increased with the introduction of high -level products such as Apple Vision Pro. Samsung’s development of both professional use and more suitable glasses models for daily use reflects the purpose of addressing different user segments. In addition, Qualcomm’s XR platforms and Google’s software infrastructure cooperations can further reinforce Samsung’s hardware power in this area.
