Samsung started announcing its 2025 product series with new monitor models. The South Korea-based technology giant introduced new members of the Odyssey OLED, Smart Monitor and ViewFinity series. Details about the Odyssey OLED 2025 and Smart Monitor 2025 series have been shared before. Samsung has now revealed its model called ViewFinity S8 2025.
Samsung has currently only announced the ViewFinity S8 (S80UD) model in the 2025 ViewFinity series. This new model is positioned as the successor of the ViewFinity S8 released last year. The brand is expected to introduce other variants in the coming days or weeks.
ViewFinity S8 2025 comes with a 34 percent larger screen than the previous model. The 37-inch LCD screen offers 4K resolution. This is a significant increase compared to the 32-inch screen in the 2024 model. Other than that, the main differences between the new model and the old model seem quite limited. Samsung states that the monitor has TUV Rheinland’s Ergonomic Workspace Display certification.
In terms of connectivity options, the new ViewFinity S8 is equipped with a USB Type-C port that can provide up to 90W of power. This port can also be used as a USB hub, making it easier to connect peripherals. While the monitor’s stand allows height, tilt and pivot adjustments, there is no rotation adjustment.
