Samsung Galaxy Watch is now officially launched in India. The Galaxy watch that was unveiled along with the new premium Galaxy Note 9 in New York the previous month is the successor of the Gear S3. Samsung Galaxy Watch features a circular display protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass DX panel. It is water resistance holding a 5 ATM rating. Just like the Gear S3, the Samsung Galaxy Watch runs Tizen OS and has a rotating bezel UI. You can enjoy the Always on Display experience with this watch. Samsung has also offered the analogue watch ticks and hourly chimes which gives a traditional feel to the watch.

Further, there is a depth effect that casts shadows to define the detail on the available watch face. Samsung Galaxy Watch also features heart rate monitoring using a built-in sensor. It offers a keen stress management tracker.

Samsung Galaxy Watch price in India

In India, The Samsung Galaxy Watch starts at Rs. 24,990 which is the price for the 42mm version. The 46mm variant costs Rs. 29,990. The watch will be available by mid-October at all the authorised retail channels in India. Both the Galaxy Watch variants are seen to be the Bluetooth-only models. Samsung hasn’t revealed anything about the Galaxy Watch with LTE version of them yet.

The 46mm Samsung Galaxy Watch will come in a Silver colour option. The watch has a contrasting Matte Black bezel. On the other hand, the 42mm variant is a Midnight Black watch, also available in a Rose Gold colour variant.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch is resistant to the dust and water. In terms of durability, it is MIL-STD-810G certified. You will find a stress management tracker touted in the watch to detect high-stress levels. The feature help in monitoring your breathing exercises too. Additionally, the company has featured a sleep tracker that tracks all levels of sleep and REM cycles helping users adjust their sleeping habits.

Galaxy Watch can track 39 workout profiles which include 21 new indoor exercises. Thus, it is a perfect choice for calorie management connecting it with the Samsung Health app.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch runs on Tizen OS 4.0 and features a Circular Super AMOLED panel. It comes with Always on Display features and has a Corning Gorilla Glass DX protection. Further, the watch has a dual-core Exynos 9110 SoC and holds 768MB RAM and 4GB internal storage. The Onboard sensors include an ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyro, barometer, and HRM.

Talking about connectivity, the Samsung Galaxy Watch features a Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, NFC, A-GPS/ GLONASS. It has a WPC standard-based wireless charging support. Likewise, the Watch is compatible with devices running on anything better than Android 5.0 and the iPhone 5 along with versions based on iOS 9.0.

Considering the 42mm variant, The Samsung Galaxy Watch features a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display. The display comes with 360×360 pixels resolution and holds a 270mAh battery. The watch measures 41.9×45.7×12.7mm and is 49 grams in weight. It supports 22mm interchangeable straps. On the other hand, the 46mm variant has a 1.3-inch Super AMOLED display. The display comes with 360×360 pixels resolution. It has a 472mAh battery. The watch weighs 63 grams and measures 46x49x13mm supporting a 22mm interchangeable straps.
