Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, which we first saw four years ago, was very popular and was among the flash products in the campaigns of technology stores. Samsung did not leave this interest unanswered by renewing the tablet's processor in 2022. This contributed to the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite surviving longer than a normal product, which is why Samsung is reviving this Android tablet once again in 2024. Design

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite retains the 2020 design as it did two years ago. Thanks to its thickness of only 7mm and its narrow and long surface, it has a structure that is especially suitable for vertical use. You can easily hold it with one hand. With its weight of 465 grams, it remains within a reasonable range for a tablet with a 10.4 inch screen. There is no need to make changes to a good design, and Samsung follows this logic. Only color options change. Apart from the gray version we received, mint and spring pink colors are available.

The button and input placement of the tablet is also made according to vertical orientation. The selfie camera is on the short side of the screen, so you must either hold the tablet upright or adjust your sitting position accordingly when holding it horizontally to be perfectly centered in the image. According to vertical grip, there is a USB-C port on the bottom edge and a volume rocker on the top edge. On the side there are volume keys. A speaker is placed on each of the two short sides. Performance and Battery

As in 2022, the most important update in the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2024 is on the processor side. Samsung has made a notable processor update with the eight-core Exynos 1280, which it has used in its mid-segment A series phones in recent years. The test product we have has 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal memory. During the installation, I installed the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite by carrying various applications and content from the Galaxy S24 Ultra I had. In this way, approximately 50 GB of the 64 GB memory was filled. This causes the tablet to start slowing down. Of course, installations from scratch will have a slightly smoother experience. But the more apps and games you use, the more the experience can stutter. Fortunately, it is possible to achieve a certain level of fluency thanks to the various optimization tools Samsung offers. However, it is important to remember that this is an entry-segment tablet.

However, when you want to use several applications at the same time or open two applications side by side, smooth usage is achieved. However, if you open applications such as Netflix and PUBG Mobile and leave them in the background, 4 GB of RAM will not be enough after a while and lags will begin. I was able to play PUBG Mobile and similar high-profile games fluently at high graphics speed and resolution. The GPU performance of the Exynos 1280 processor provides a better result than previous Tab S6 Lites. The GeekBench 6 GPU test result also supports this, with a score at the same level as the Galaxy A53 with Exynos 1280 processor.

As before, the tablet comes with a 7040 mAh battery. With 15W charging support, the battery is fully charged in 2 to 2 and a half hours. Therefore, it is best to charge the tablet at night. There is no power adapter in the box, but your phone's charging adapter will be enough so you won't miss it. The tablet offers 5-6 hours of screen time on a single charge. This will be enough, especially for students, to spend time from morning to evening on a single charge. Especially for those who plan to use it for home entertainment, charging it every 2-3 days will be enough.

Software and S Pen

Since Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2024 is a new tablet, it comes with the advantage of Android 14 and One UI 6.1. It comes preloaded with various Samsung and Google applications. On the security side, you can use facial recognition with the front camera and thus bypass the locked screen.

Additionally, thanks to the S Pen included in the box, you have the advantage of taking notes or drawing manually on the tablet without paying any additional fee. The S Pen stylus has a sufficient delay time. You feel that there is a certain delay when writing or taking notes on the screen, but this does not hinder the experience of writing on a real paper or notebook. In addition to Samsung's own Notes application, you can also easily use applications such as PENUP and Goodnotes that you download from the Google Play Store. When you bring the S Pen closer to the tablet, you see the cursor on the screen. The pen also provides a convenient environment for navigating the user interface.

Camera

Tablet cameras are not very influential in purchasing decisions, but they are worth mentioning. One camera on the front and one on the back continues to maintain the features of the first tablet in 2020. With the rear camera, you can take sufficient quality shots whenever you need. This camera is generally sufficient for document scanning, which we think will be the most needed element in a tablet. When you turn on photo mode, you will see a text icon. When you click on this, the document is scanned, the texts are revealed, you can then save it in document format by adjusting the document boundaries. On the video side, 1080p video recording is available with the rear camera. Recording is also possible with the front camera. As you'll soon hear, the Tab S6 Lite's audio recording quality is good. This will be especially useful for video calls with the front camera.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) is still ahead of the Galaxy Tab A9 Series in today's conditions, with its slim and stylish design, lightness and comfortable use even with one hand.
