Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, whose presence has been announced earlier, will formally appear next month. New ones continue to be added to those known for the smartphone. Recently, various leaks have been shared about the size, weight, screen structure and frame thickness of the device. In addition, Samsung was ambitious about the durability of the phone. However, new information about battery capacity may disappoint some users.
The Galaxy S25 Edge has been spoken for a while when Edge had the smallest battery in the S25 series. Some sources even suggested that the battery capacity of the device would be lower than the standard Galaxy S25. Finally, with a certificate received in Denmark, these claims were finalized.
According to the certification, the Galaxy S25 EDGE will have a nominal battery capacity of 3,786 mAh. Depending on Samsung’s marketing strategy, this value will be launched as 3,900 mAh. However, considering that even the Galaxy S25 comes with a 4,000 mAh battery, it can be said that the S25 Edge will be behind the battery performance.
The main reason for this is that the device is focused on the ultra thin design. Galaxy S25 Edge will only have a thickness of 5.84 mm. Reducing the battery capacity to provide subtlety and lightness may cause some disadvantages in terms of battery life of the device.
Galaxy S25 Edge will come with strong hardware features
The Galaxy S25 Edge is known to offer strong features on the hardware side. The device will receive power from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and will be supported with 12 GB of RAM. The combination of this strong hardware with a screen with a renewal rate of 120 Hz indicates that it will offer a fluent user experience.
Low battery capacity can be balanced by Samsung’s optimization on the software side. However, considering that the device will provide 25W cable charging support, it may be slightly behind compared to the higher charging speeds offered by competitors.
On the camera side, a simple but strong installation is preferred. The Galaxy S25 will have two cameras on the back of Edge and the main camera will have a 200 MP resolution. The features of the second camera are not yet finalized. The new information is expected to come to light as the introductory date about the smartphone approaches.
