After his first 6G White book published in 2020, Samsung released another updated white book containing new developments in this area. The company plans to integrate artificial intelligence (YZ) technologies into the 6G system in order to improve telecommunications infrastructure and to adapt to the connection technologies of the future. This integration is expected to increase network quality as well as energy efficiency and make user experience more sustainable.
White books are often known as technical documents in which a company or institution details their future plans on a particular technology or strategy. Samsung’s new white book reveals how the 6G will improve the connection, accelerate and differentiate from the existing 5G technology. The company states that five main services will greatly benefit from 6G technology:
- Immersive XR (Expanded Reality): It will combine virtual and real worlds in the fields of entertainment, health and science to make user experiences more interactive and immersive.
- Digital Twin Technology: It will make the creation of virtual copies of physical assets and make security, remote monitoring and analysis processes more efficient. For example, real -time data flow can be achieved with virtual holograms.
- MASIF CONTACT: A large number of sensors will be connected to the network of the machine and the terminal, and will offer more reliable and uninterrupted connections in smart cities, houses and industrial automation systems.
- Ubiquitous Connectivity everywhere: It aims to provide a wider area of coverage by increasing the interaction between terrestrial and non -terrestrial (eg satellite) networks.
- Fixed wireless access (FWA): It will offer high -speed internet access, such as wired connections, but it will do it through a completely wireless system.
Samsung aims to optimize the user experience, to facilitate network management and to increase operational efficiency by strengthening all of these services with artificial intelligence -supported systems.
According to Samsung’s plans, artificial intelligence will not only increase the performance of 6G, but will also help to manage network operations more efficiently. Thanks to the advanced data analytics offered by YZ, network traffic will be directed smarter and significant improvements in connection quality will be provided.
In addition, the impact of artificial intelligence on energy efficiency will be great. High energy consumption in telecommunications infrastructure increases costs and brings environmental effects. However, it is aimed to minimize the energy consumption of 6G and to create a sustainable network infrastructure with artificial intelligence -supported optimizations.
2030 is pointed out for the completion of Samsung 6G standards
According to the information contained in Samsung’s new White book, the development of 6G technology will continue to accelerate. The company expects the 6G standards to be completed as of 2030. In this process, it is stated that research and development will be accelerated and cooperation with other major players in the sector will be increased.
