Realme takes a different approach in smartphone design with the GT8 Pro model. The camera module on the back of this model can be replaced by the user. Thus, the device becomes not only a smartphone, but also a personal design object. This structure, which provides real customization opportunities, also creates a visual difference in daily use.
The basis of the system is two Torx screws and a magnet-supported fixing mechanism. This mechanism makes the camera module easy to remove and provides a firm grip. Realme has prepared square, round and robot-themed camera structures in different looks. These modules will be available in the brand’s official sales channels. On the other hand, users will not be limited to these ready-made options.
Realme GT8 Pro also supports the camera experience with software
Realme not only presents the module system in terms of aesthetics, but also enables users to directly participate in the process. The 3MF extension model file of the camera structure has been shared publicly. Thanks to this file, users can realize their own designs with a 3D printer. In addition, creative modules will be rewarded thanks to the competition run in cooperation with MakerWorld. Thus, community participation becomes direct contact with the product.
Not only the external design of the device, but also its technical equipment is remarkable. The main camera, developed as a result of the collaboration between Realme and Ricoh, offers 50MP resolution. With the 1/1.56 inch sensor and f/1.8 aperture, light performance is satisfactory. Thanks to 28mm and 40mm equivalent focal lengths, you can easily switch between wide-angle and narrower frame shooting. In this way, different shooting styles become possible on a single device.
The software side of the camera also includes details that will attract photography lovers. Five different image tones taken from the Ricoh GR series – Positive, Negative, Monochrome, Standard and High Contrast Black and White – are offered to the user. These tones can be selected directly in the camera interface. Thus, the user can add different emotions to the shots he takes. It’s not just about technical details; Photographic aesthetics also become a part of the job.
The second camera on the device has a resolution of 200MP and a periscope structure. This sensor makes it possible to take images without losing details with 3x optical zoom and 12x lossless zoom. This structure, built on the ISOCELL HP5 sensor, offers more stable results with dual-axis optical stabilization support. A wide range of uses have been created, from portrait shots to distant objects. However, all these technical details are not limited to the camera system only.

The third camera is located on the back of the device as an ultra wide-angle lens with 50MP resolution. The 116-degree field of view is especially advantageous in landscape and group shots. Thanks to the f/2.0 aperture, satisfactory performance is achieved in low light. On the video side, the device can record 30fps at 8K resolution. All these features target users who want professional experience in mobile photography.
There is a 32MP camera module on the front. This front camera is simply integrated into the upper part of the screen. The fingerprint reader is placed under the screen and works with ultrasonic technology. This structure increases safety while maintaining comfort of use. Thus, the device offers not only fast but also secure access.
On the screen side, there is an AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. Offering a resolution of 3,136 × 1,440 pixels, the screen reaches a brightness of 2,000 nits in typical use and can go up to 4,000 nits in certain areas. It is quite successful in terms of image quality, fluency and color saturation. A noticeable experience is offered in content consumption. Supporting real-time HDR content, the panel responds to today’s expectations.
At the heart of Realme GT8 Pro is the Snapdragon Elite Gen 5 Extreme Edition processor. This processor is accompanied by 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. On the graphics side, the special R1 chip developed by Realme comes into play. In this way, performance becomes stable both in daily use and in games. Not only processing power, but also data transfer and upload speeds are kept at the highest level.
In the battery department, the device offers a total capacity of 7,000mAh with its two-cell structure. 120W support is provided for wired charging and 50W for wireless charging. Despite all this capacity, the thickness of the device remains at 8.2 mm. Considering the GT7 Pro’s 8.55mm build, this difference is quite significant. Both large battery and compact structure are considered together.
Realme GT8 Pro offers water and dust resistance at IP66, IP68 and IP69 levels. On the software side, it has the Realme UI 7 interface based on Android 16. White, green and blue color options are offered. The model with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage is offered for sale in China at a price of 3,999 yuan (approximately 23,600 TL). The top-level 16 GB RAM + 1 TB model has a price tag of 5,199 yuan (approximately 30,675 TL).
