Production wheels have started turning for the new iPad Pro and MacBook Air with M3 processors

Mark Gurman from Bloomberg shared the information that production has started for the new iPad Pro and MacBook Air with M3 processors in the latest issue of his Power On newsletter. Both products are expected to be available at the end of March.

According to Gurman, the Cupertino-based company will introduce redesigned iPad Pros with OLED screens, iPad Air with 12.9-inch screens, and MacBook Air models with 13 and 15-inch screens with M3 processors in March.

Apple did not release a new iPad until 2023. The company, which has postponed the renewal of its tablet models until 2024, is certain to renew the iPad Pro and iPad Air first at this stage.

According to Mark Gurman, some new accessories will also be offered with the new iPad Pro. One of these will be the aluminum-based Magic Keyboard keyboard. The codes in the iOS 17.4 beta version signal that there will be a horizontally positioned front camera on the iPad Pro.

The new iPad Pro will come with an OLED screen

The biggest innovation in the 2024 model iPads seems to be the OLED panel. Apple will include an OLED panel in its tablets for the first time. Thus, the screen on the new iPad will offer richer colors, higher contrast, and battery consumption will be more efficient. iPad Air with a 12.9-inch screen will make it possible to offer the 12.9-inch screen option at a more affordable price.

MacBook Air with M3 processor will be a simpler model

The MacBook Air series with the M3 processor is expected to be a simpler model and maintain the same industrial design. The most important innovation here will be the M3 processor, which Apple introduced with the 14-inch MacBook Pro. Apple will offer this processor in both 13 and 15 inch screen models.
