Poco is preparing to launch the F7 Ultra model to the international market. Leaked information revealed that this model is actually a rebranded version of the Redmi K80 Pro, which is on sale in China. This strategy can be considered as part of Poco’s plans to influence Xiaomi’s global market. However, leaks also indicate that some minor changes specific to the global market may be made in the technical details of the device.
Poco F7 Ultra has been found to be certified with the model number “24122RKC7G”. This model number was previously seen on SDPI Postel certification in Indonesia. Additionally, the name Poco F7 Ultra is clearly included in a firmware build. This confirms speculation that the Redmi K80 Pro will be available under a different name in markets outside China.
In terms of specifications, the Poco F7 Ultra will largely retain what the Redmi K80 Pro offers. This means that the device will attract attention in the global market with its powerful hardware. However, it is stated that minor changes may be made to software or hardware settings specific to some regions.
Poco F7 Ultra will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. This chipset offers high-level performance and promises an impressive experience, especially in gaming and multitasking. The processor will be supported by RAM options ranging from 12 GB to 16 GB. On the storage side, there will be two different options: 256 GB and 512 GB.
The device will come with an OLED screen of 6.67 inches, 2K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. This screen stands out with high brightness and vibrant colors and will offer the user a fluent visual experience. On the design side, flat edges and a circular camera module on the back attract attention.
The camera system of Poco F7 Ultra consists of a triple structure. The main sensor has a resolution of 50 MP and optical image stabilization (OIS) support. In addition, there is a 32 MP ultra wide-angle lens and a 50 MP telephoto lens that offers 2.5x optical zoom. These features make the device a powerful option for both photo and video shooting.
On the battery side, a power supply with a capacity of 6000 mAh is used. This capacity is increased compared to the Redmi K80 Pro. Thanks to 120W fast charging support, the battery reaches full charge in a short time. This feature enables users to gain a great advantage in daily intensive use.
The device will work with the Android 15 based HyperOS operating system. This software aims to provide Poco users with a customizable and fast experience. Connectivity features include modern technologies such as 5G support, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3.
Xiaomi’s rebranding strategy aims to reach different consumer segments in the global market. Re-launching the Redmi K80 Pro as Poco F7 Ultra will allow the Poco brand to appeal to a wider user base. This strategy can be considered as an important step that strengthens Xiaomi’s hand in global competition.
