The first concrete signs have emerged that the A7 Pro and A7 Pro Max models introduced by Oppo in China are preparing to hit the international market. While the global versions of both phones are displayed in the Geekbench database, records show that Oppo will not make a different choice from the models sold in China, at least on the processor side. Listed with model number CPH2931, Oppo A7 Pro has a MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Max processor. Oppo A7 Pro Max, code CPH2909, comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5. Both tested devices have 8 GB RAM and Android 16 operating system.
The emergence of Geekbench records does not alone confirm the date on which the Oppo A7 Pro and A7 Pro Max will arrive in markets outside China. However, the fact that model numbers and hardware information have been entered into the database shows that preparations for global versions are continuing. The fact that the processors are the same as the models in China indicates that the basic hardware differences between the two versions may be limited. However, considering that Oppo has been able to make changes to components such as camera, memory or battery for different regions in the past, it is too early to say that all technical specifications will be the same. Geekbench records at this point only help confirm some details on the processor, memory and software side.
What do Oppo A7 Pro and A7 Pro Max features offer?
Oppo A7 Pro sold in China has a 6.57 inch AMOLED screen. This panel with a resolution of 1080 x 2372 pixels supports a 120 Hz refresh rate, while the highest brightness value reaches 1400 nits. The phone has 256 GB of internal storage and the main camera on the back combines 50 megapixel resolution with optical image stabilization support. On the front, there is an 8 megapixel camera. The 8000 mAh capacity battery, one of the prominent features of the A7 Pro, is complemented by 45W wired charging support.
Oppo A7 Pro Max, as the name suggests, comes with higher values on the screen and battery side. The phone’s 6.78 inch AMOLED screen offers 1272 x 2772 pixel resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. The device, which has 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB storage options in China, has a 50 megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization support on the back. On the front, the source provides information about a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. The model’s 10,000 mAh battery offers 80W wired charging support, and this capacity is one of the most significant hardware differences between it and the A7 Pro.
The fact that both the global A7 Pro and A7 Pro Max samples tested in Geekbench have 8 GB of RAM indicates that at least one international configuration will be prepared with this memory capacity. In addition, the fact that Android 16 is running on test devices strengthens the possibility that the phones will come to the global market with this Android version. However, the software and memory configurations on the test devices do not have to be exactly the same as the retail models. It is possible for Oppo to offer different RAM and storage options in global models. Similarly, it will not be certain whether the battery capacity and camera configuration will be transferred unchanged from the Chinese versions until the official announcement is made.
The main difference between the two models is the screen size, battery capacity, charging speed and processor used when looking at the Chinese versions. While the A7 Pro offers a more compact 6.57-inch screen and Dimensity 6360 Max processor, the A7 Pro Max combines a 6.78-inch screen with Snapdragon 4 Gen 5. The choice of high capacities such as 8000 mAh and 10,000 mAh on the battery side seems remarkable for users who prioritize long usage time; On the other hand, the effect of these capacities on the weight and thickness of the phones is also a point that needs to be evaluated. Geekbench records clarify the processor preferences of global models for now, but official information from Oppo is awaited regarding pricing, sales regions and whether other hardware features in Chinese models will be preserved.
