Oppo Reno 15’s technical specifications were revealed thanks to the test result

Oppo continues its preparations for the Reno 15 series. Information has begun to become clear that there will be three different models in the series. As the introduction of these models, which are expected to be listed as Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro and Reno 15 Pro Max, is approaching, the first concrete traces appeared on the Geekbench platform. Some important hardware details were also seen with the model seen in this test.

According to the test results, the device evaluated in Geekbench received 1668 points in single-core performance. In the multi-core test, a result of 6274 points was achieved. These scores suggest that the device will offer performance approaching upper segment features. One of the most important details here is that the processor used is Dimensity 8450 produced by MediaTek. In addition, it was also stated that the device is supported by 16 GB RAM. When both features are evaluated together, it seems that Oppo has prioritized performance in this model.

Oppo Reno 15 will come with ColorOS 16

Looking at the software side of the device, it is clear that it runs on Android 16 operating system. Thereupon, it was confirmed by test data that Oppo’s own interface, ColorOS 16, was integrated. The fact that Android 16 has not yet been released to the general user shows that the test model is approaching the final stage. Such software is often pre-integrated by manufacturers and used in evaluation processes. Oppo’s effort to keep up to date on the Android side is clearly felt here. In light of all this, it can be expected that the software will positively affect the overall performance of the device.

There is no exact information yet about which Reno 15 model the device is. However, considering the Dimensity 8450 processor, there is a high probability that this model will be Reno 15 or Reno 15 Pro. Because it was stated in previous leaks that the Reno 15 Pro Max would come with a more powerful processor, Dimensity 9400. In this context, the model appearing in Geekbench can be considered to represent the middle or entry level of the series. However, even at these levels, the use of 16 GB of RAM indicates that Oppo has increased its ambition in terms of hardware. It can easily be said that the company aims to reach a performance-oriented user base with this model.

Some predictions have been made regarding the promotion schedule of the series. The devices are expected to be announced in China initially and will be introduced by the end of the year. It is then expected to open to the global market in the first quarter of 2026. However, not all models of the series may be available in every market. There are rumors that the Pro Max version in particular may be limited to the Chinese market only. Such limitations have been an approach that Oppo has preferred from time to time in the past.

With the Geekbench results, the technical features of the Reno 15 series are gradually becoming clear. Performance data shows that Oppo intends to compete seriously with new generation hardware. In addition, offering the device with updated versions on the software side creates an advantageous situation for users who plan to use it for a long time. The experience offered by ColorOS 16, Oppo’s user interface, can achieve a more stable and fluid structure with Android 16. This will make the device stand out for users looking for efficiency in daily use.

MediaTek’s Dimensity 8450 processor is not yet available to the masses. However, manufacturers such as Oppo prefer to keep their products up to date by testing such new chipsets early. It is claimed that Dimensity 8450 will offer higher efficiency and power than previous generations. It is estimated that this processor will provide successful results, especially in multitasking, gaming and high-resolution content processing. Although official data about the processor is limited, this expectation can be clearly understood from Oppo’s choice. Thus, Reno 15 draws an innovative profile not only on the software but also on the hardware side.

Clear information about camera features has not been shared yet. However, considering past Reno models, it is estimated that Oppo will make various improvements in the camera. Camera performance is generally supported by software-based improvements and image processing engines. It can be predicted that a similar approach will be followed in this series. Apart from this, there are no leaks about the design lines or material quality of the device. Such details are expected to be announced with the official launch.
