Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro introduced: Screens curved on four sides, thin and light cases

Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro were officially revealed after a while of sharing. The smartphones are Oppo's first devices with a screen that curves on four sides. The phones, which are thinner and lighter compared to their predecessors in the Reno 11 series, also stand out in terms of durability.

Reno 12 has a 6.7 inch OLED screen. The refresh rate of this screen with a resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels is 120 Hz. In Reno 12, unlike its predecessor, the screen curves towards the top and bottom edges.

Gorilla Glass protects the screen in both Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro. The middle frame of the phone is made of cast aluminum alloy, which withstands compression much better and helps reduce damage when dropped on a hard surface. The screen of the phones, which come with an IP65 water resistance certificate, works even when the user's fingers are wet.

Despite the durability, Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro stand out with their thin cases. The weight of the 7.25 mm thick Reno 12 is 179 grams. Reno 12 Pro has a 7.55 mm thick case weighing 183 grams. It is worth noting that both phones are thinner and lighter compared to their predecessors.

Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro get the energy they need from a 5000 mAh battery with 80W charging support. Oppo states that both phones will retain 95 percent of their original battery capacity after 1000 charging cycles.

The main camera in Reno 12 Pro is the 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor. A 2x telephoto camera with 50 megapixel resolution and an 8 megapixel ultra wide angle camera complete the system.

In Reno 12, the 50 megapixel Sony LYT600 sensor was preferred as the main camera. There is no change in other cameras. Both phones have the same 50-megapixel front camera.

The two phones also differ from each other on the processor side. Reno 12 has a Dimensity 8250 processor. Oppo Reno 12 Pro comes with Dimensity 9200+. Both phones are offered with 12 and 16 GB RAM and 256 and 512 GB storage options. Artificial intelligence experience is also a part of phones.

How much should you pay for Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro?

Oppo Reno 12 will be sold at prices starting from 2700 yuan (12239 TL). Reno 12 Pro will be on the shelves with prices starting from 3400 yuan (15412 TL).
