Oppo introduced the Reno 11 series last November. Therefore, the follower of this series is expected to become official before the second half of 2024 begins. While there is no official post yet for the Oppo Reno 12 series; A post on Weibo hints at improvements to the camera.
According to the post made by the Weibo user nicknamed Smart Pikachu, the Reno 12 series will feature a new camera sensor developed by Sony and customized for the series. Thus, the image quality of the series will be increased compared to the Reno 11 series.
There are three different models in the Reno 11 series: Reno 11, Reno 11 Pro and Reno 11F. While Reno 11 and 11 Pro have a 50-megapixel main camera, the 11F comes with a 64-megapixel main camera. It remains unclear how many phones will be in the Reno 12 series and which cameras they will carry.
There may be different processor preferences in the Oppo Reno 12 series
At this point, it is worth remembering that the members of the Reno 11 series sold in China and those sold in other regions come with different processors. While Reno 11 and Reno 11 Pro were sold with Dimensity 8200 and Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 in China, they were introduced to the world with Dimensity 7050 and 8200, respectively. Reno 11F also has a Dimensity 7050 processor. Therefore, it would not be a surprise to encounter a similar situation on the Reno 12 side.
