OnePlus added a new series called N6 to its smartphone product range. While OnePlus N6, the first model of the series, is initially offered for sale in the Indian market, the most striking aspect of the device is its 8000 mAh battery. Combining its large battery capacity with 45 W SuperVOOC fast charging support, the phone can also charge other devices thanks to its 5 W wired reverse charging feature. This feature makes it possible to use the phone as a portable power source when necessary.
OnePlus also emphasizes that it is not enough to just increase the capacity on the battery side. The bypass charging technology included in the phone allows energy to be transferred directly to the motherboard, especially in usage scenarios that create intense processing loads, such as gaming. Thus, since the battery is not charged at the same time, the heat generated is reduced and helps the device operate at lower temperatures. According to data shared by the company, the battery is designed to withstand more than 1600 charging cycles. OnePlus also states that battery health will remain above 80 percent after seven years of use.
OnePlus N6 specifications complement battery-focused structure
On the hardware side, OnePlus N6 has MediaTek’s Dimensity 6360 Max processor. While this platform is accompanied by 4 GB or 6 GB RAM options, both models offer 128 GB internal storage. In addition, the preservation of microSD card support provides an additional advantage for users who want to increase their storage capacity. Considering that many manufacturers are moving away from memory card support today, this choice distinguishes the device from some competitors in the similar price range.
On the front, there is a 6.8 inch IPS LCD screen. Offering HD + resolution, the panel aims for a smoother usage experience with a 120 Hz refresh rate. While the local peak brightness of the screen reaches 1200 nits, the front camera is placed in the perforated design at the top of the screen. This camera, used for selfies and video calls, offers 8 megapixel resolution.
On the back, there is a 50 megapixel main camera with f / 1.8 aperture. OnePlus has not shared details about additional sensors or advanced shooting features for the camera system. Despite this, the main camera is expected to provide sufficient performance for daily photo shooting. On the other hand, it can be said that the choice of HD + resolution screen may lag behind higher segment models in terms of image sharpness. On the other hand, high refresh rate and large battery capacity are among the more priority features for the target audience of the device.
On the software side, for the OnePlus N6, which comes with the Android 16-based OxygenOS 16 operating system, the company announced that it will offer two major Android version updates and security updates for three years. Update support is among the factors that can be taken into consideration, especially for users who plan to use the phone for a long time.
OnePlus N6 is available in two different color options: green and black. While the basic model with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage is offered for sale in India with a price tag of 22,999 Indian rupees (11,330 TL), the price of the 6 GB RAM version was announced as 24,999 Indian rupees (12,315 TL).
