Samsung started to share new details about the distribution schedule of the One UI 9 update. Distribution of the stable version for the Galaxy S26 series started in South Korea last week. According to the information published by the company through its official news center in Thailand, One UI 9 will be available in Thailand for the Galaxy S26 series as of September 21. Distribution is expected to begin in other markets on the same dates. However, Samsung has not yet released a single global calendar covering all regions.
The shared calendar does not only cover the Galaxy S26 series. According to the program announced by Samsung Thailand, One UI 9 distribution for the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 models will begin on September 28. Although the dates here are given directly for the Thai market, it is known that Samsung often rolls out major Android updates to different countries in similar periods. However, distribution dates may vary from country to country due to carrier approvals, regional software versions and device variants. For this reason, September 28 should not be considered as a definitive start day for other markets.
One UI 9 will also come to older Galaxy models
Samsung’s statement also includes the One UI 9 update for the Galaxy S23 FE. The company states that this model will receive the update in October. However, an exact date for the Galaxy S23 FE has not been shared. This shows that the update can be distributed gradually throughout the month. Samsung’s move to new flagship models and then to older phones and tablets has been a distribution model that has also been seen in previous major One UI updates.
One of the striking aspects of the Thai statement is that the dates in question have not been widely shared in Samsung’s other regional newsrooms at this stage.
