Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang: We are now in the era of useful artificial intelligence

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said at the Dell Technologies World 2026 event that generative artificial intelligence is no longer an experimental technology and has moved to a stage that directly transforms business processes. Appearing on stage with Dell CEO Michael Dell, Huang stated that especially artificial intelligence-supported agent systems have seriously changed productivity expectations in software development and corporate operations. According to Huang, the increase in the working speed of companies is not only due to software tools; At the same time, the goals and production capacity of the employees are moved to a different level. Nvidia CEO drew attention to the scale of the current transformation with the words, “We have now reached the era of useful artificial intelligence.”

Huang said that companies can now complete some processes that took months in the past in weeks, while tasks that took weeks have now been reduced to days, and tasks that took days have now been reduced to hours. Stating that user expectations are rising at the same pace despite this, Huang emphasized that today, even transactions that will take an hour are expected to be completed instantly. In addition, he stated that this acceleration increased the pressure on the data center and computing infrastructure. This need seems to be behind the investments Nvidia has made on the GPU side in recent years.

In his speech, Huang said that his personal approach has also changed. Stating that he aimed to contribute to the technology world in the past, Nvidia CEO stated that today he is thinking about much larger-scale goals. Stating that the use of artificial intelligence agents, especially in software development processes, has reached a remarkable level, Huang noted that engineers are no longer just writing code, but are also moving towards a role that manages a large number of artificial intelligence agents. Accordingly, the main task of successful engineers in the future will be to coordinate sub-agent systems that undertake different tasks, rather than developing alone.

Dell and Nvidia expand enterprise AI infrastructure

In his evaluations at the event, Dell CEO Michael Dell said that in the first stage of generative artificial intelligence, it is mostly used in tasks such as writing text, summarizing and answering questions. According to Dell, these tools have provided companies with a 20 to 30 percent productivity increase. However, the “agentic AI” approach that stands out in the new era includes autonomous software agents that plan, decide, implement and track the results, unlike systems that only offer suggestions.

Michael Dell stated that companies should redesign their workflows according to this new era. According to Dell, with the widespread use of artificial intelligence agents, productivity growth could well exceed current levels. Stating that companies’ early adaptation to this transformation will be decisive in terms of competition, Dell stated that institutions that cannot switch to an artificial intelligence-supported operating model may have difficulties in the long term.

As part of the event, Dell and Nvidia also introduced new infrastructure solutions for their joint AI Factory initiative. These include the Dell PowerRack system based on the Nvidia Vera Rubin NVL72 platform. According to the information provided by the company, this system can reduce the cost per token by up to 10 times compared to Nvidia Blackwell architecture in large-scale artificial intelligence inference processes. In addition, PowerEdge XE9880L, XE9885L and XE9882L server models were also announced. Built on Nvidia HGX Rubin NVL8 architecture, these systems offer support for 144 GPUs per rack.

It is noteworthy that the new systems use completely liquid-cooled computing nodes. Dell states that up to 5.5 times higher performance is achieved compared to the HGX B200 platform. Despite this, increasing power consumption and data center costs continue to be among the main issues that need to be solved in scaling the artificial intelligence infrastructure. In particular, the energy needs of high-density GPU clusters may cause technology companies to turn to more efficient cooling and energy management solutions in the coming period.

At the end of the event, Michael Dell called Jensen Huang “one of the leaders of the artificial intelligence era.” Huang completed his speech on stage with humor and said that he comes to the event every year to promote Dell products. The statements of the two companies show that the competition in the field of artificial intelligence is now shaped not only on the software side, but also on infrastructure and data center investments.
