New update from Telegram that brings features that improve large channels

Telegram has released a new update that increases functionality and brings media-focused features, especially for large channels with a large user base. The platform aims to make users’ media sharing and viewing experience easier and higher quality, given the increasing consumption of video and visual content. The update includes innovations in various areas that users actively need, such as video quality, playback speed and message editing.

Telegram, which aims to reduce the quality problems experienced when watching media content especially on large channels, now offers automatic video quality adjustment. This feature automatically optimizes video quality according to the user’s network speed. Thus, users with slow connections can quickly watch the video in low resolution, while those with fast internet connections can continue their experience with the high quality option. However, users still retain the opportunity to manually select low, medium or high quality options.

Another innovation that comes with the update is the ability to easily change the video playback speed. While watching videos, you can adjust the speed by clicking on the settings icon at the bottom right of the screen or by pressing and holding the right part of the video. In this way, users can get a viewing experience that suits their own pace by speeding up or slowing down the videos when necessary. Another feature offered for Android users is the ability to skip forward or backward in videos by 10 seconds by double-tapping the right or left side of the screen.

Adding media to old messages makes the chat experience more flexible. Users can now make these edits in just a few simple steps to add a new media file or change an existing file to a message they have sent in the past, without having to delete the message and resend it. This feature helps maintain the order of content while making updates easier, especially in channels and groups.

Another practical feature that came with Telegram’s new update was message editing timestamps. Now users can see when a message was last edited, and if it has been edited more than once, they can access the most current version. These timestamps increase the reliability of posts and contribute to information accuracy, especially in mass channels and groups.

One of the innovations that comes with the update is hashtag support, which makes it easier to search for content in the chat. Users who want to quickly access a specific topic, especially in large channels, can access the information they want more easily by following the tags used in the chat. This feature makes it very practical to search for content, especially in information-intensive channels or groups focused on specific topics.

Telegram also increases options for sharing advertising revenue

In addition, Telegram expanded the advertising revenue sharing opportunity for bots and mini applications on the platform. With the new system, bots and mini applications can send up to 30 messages a day and earn income from these posts. Additionally, users can now see the number of interactions their posts have received. In this way, content producers and channel managers can examine the feedback their posts receive in more detail.

The features offered by Telegram with this update aim to strengthen the visual content-oriented aspect of the platform and improve the user experience. Telegram, which wants to better manage intense media traffic, especially in large channels, continues to be a platform that responds quickly to users’ demands in the messaging applications market, where competition is strong, with these innovations.
