New foldable phone from ZTE: Libero Flip introduced

ZTE unveiled its new foldable phone called Libero Flip. Developed together with Y!mobile, a sub-brand of Japanese technology company SoftBank, Libero Flip is ZTE’s first foldable phone with a “clam shell” design. The phone, which is available for pre-order in Japan for 63 thousand yen (12966 TL), will be on the shelves as of February 29.

At the heart of Libero Flip is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. This processor is accompanied by 6 GB of RAM. The internal storage of the phone is 128 GB. The resolution of the 6.9 inch foldable screen is 2790 x 1888 pixels. The 1.43-inch round foldable screen of the phone supports many functions. The cover screen can be used to take selfies, view the number of steps taken, check the weather forecast and control music.

The main camera in Libero Flip is a 50-megapixel sensor. A 2 megapixel sensor completes the main camera. There is a 16 megapixel camera on the front. In particular, the fact that this phone can stand between 60-110 degrees makes it possible to use the camera by placing it on the table for clear still photos.

Three color options are offered for Libero Flip: gold, white and blue. The thickness of the 76 mm wide case is 7.3 mm. When folded, the thickness increases to 15.5 mm. The phone, which weighs 214 grams on the scale, has an IP42 resistance certificate against water and dust.

ZTE Libero Flip comes with a 4310 mAh battery

The 4310 mAh battery provides the smartphone with the energy it needs. This battery has 33W charging support. According to the information provided by ZTE, it is possible to fully charge the phone’s battery within 73 minutes. The phone, whose fingerprint scanner is integrated on the side, also has face recognition feature. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 supports are also waiting for users in Libero Flip.

ZTE Libero Flip is expected to form the basis of Nubia Flip 5G, the foldable phone of Nubia under the umbrella of ZTE. Nubia Flip 5G appeared in certification records last December. The launch time of this model remains uncertain.
