Details about the three foldable smartphone models that Samsung has been working on for a long time and previously exhibited as concepts at various events have begun to become clear. While the new model is expected to be released under the name “Galaxy Z TriFold”, the hardware features of the device have also come to light thanks to leaked information. The device is planned to be introduced in South Korea in December, but this information has not been officially confirmed by the company yet.
According to the technical information shared by Evan Blass, one of the reliable sources, Galaxy Z TriFold will have a 6.5-inch outer cover screen and a 10-inch large inner screen when opened. While the cover screen can reach a brightness level of 2,600 nits, the maximum brightness value of the inner screen is stated as 1,600 nits. These values indicate a screen performance that can provide high visibility, especially in outdoor use.
Galaxy Z TriFold will come with a battery capacity of 5,437 mAh
The panels of Galaxy Z TriFold, which stands out with its three-piece foldable structure, will not be equal in terms of thickness even when fully opened. According to the information provided by Blass, the thickness of the panels will be 3.9 mm, 4.0 mm and 4.2 mm, respectively. When folded, the total thickness of the device will be 14 mm. This design approach stands out as an element to be carefully evaluated in terms of ergonomics and portability.
Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold looks quite assertive on the camera side as well. According to leaked information, the main camera on the back of the device will have a resolution of 200 megapixels. It is likely that this sensor belongs to the ISOCELL HP series, which Samsung has previously used in its flagship models. Such a high resolution can be advantageous, especially in terms of detailed photo shooting and digital zoom performance.
Information that the battery capacity of the device will be 5,437 mAh is also among the leaks. A high-capacity battery was expected to be preferred to support a display system of this size. On the processor side, it is stated that a chipset from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon series will be used. Although it is not clear which version will be used, there is a strong possibility that the new generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 series will be preferred.
December 5 is indicated as the launch date of Galaxy Z TriFold. It is also among the information that Samsung showed this model at a special event held in South Korea in recent weeks. However, this presentation was not a public launch, but a closed presentation with limited participants. It has not yet been announced in which markets the device will be sold after the introduction.
On the other hand, it is thought that Samsung aims to differentiate itself further in the foldable device market with this model. The company, which has already reached a significant user base with the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip series, is likely to meet different screen needs with the Z TriFold. This model can create an alternative option especially for productivity-oriented users and consumers who care about the widescreen experience.
Information about the final price and global launch date of Galaxy Z TriFold has not been shared yet. However, following the announcement in December, it is expected to be on the shelves in some markets in the first quarter of 2026. Official statements about Samsung’s new model are expected to be made in the coming weeks.
