It is possible to synchronize and screen mirror Android smartphones and Windows computers with the Microsoft Phone Link application. Thanks to the new feature added to this application, users will be able to extract text from photos on their Android phones and this text can be used directly on the computer via optical character recognition.
With the application called “Link to Windows” on phones, it is possible to connect Android 14 operating system devices to Windows and use the applications on the PC. This feature can be used on phones from manufacturers such as Samsung, Honor, OnePlus, Realme, Oppo.
With the optical character recognition feature, you can copy the text in an image in your gallery and paste it directly to your computer running Windows 11. The text extraction feature in Windows 11 is not new; It was part of the pre-installed Snipping Tool. The new solution skips just one step and lets you use text directly from a book page, street sign, or anything else that's photographed.
