Meta started testing its new application called StoryKit, which prepares artificial intelligence-supported stories for children, in a limited number of countries. The application, which appeared on the App Store, can create personalized stories containing characters, locations, educational themes and music without the need for parents to write any text. The company states that the application is currently only available within the pilot program and that feedback from parents is being evaluated.
StoryKit was first spotted by 9to5Mac in the App Store listings. Later, Meta confirmed to TechCrunch that the application was being tested in certain markets. According to the company spokesperson, StoryKit focuses on creating personalized story books based on imagination for children. Meta states that the application has artificial intelligence security filters, does not include any social features, and can only be used by users aged 18 and over.
The way StoryKit works is based on a very simple flow. Users first determine the main character of the story. If desired, the application can include this character in the digital story by using a photo of a favorite toy or a person. Then, the world in which the story will take place is defined and the basic message that the narrative is intended to convey is selected.
