Live voice message -like feature on iPhone comes to Galaxy phones

In 2023, Apple presented a lively voice message to iPhone users with iOS 17. This feature shows the message that the caller has left in unanswered calls and shows it on the screen. Moreover, this process is completely on the device without the need for operator infrastructure. Thus, even in countries without voice message support, this function becomes usable. Samsung also seems to be working on an innovation close to this idea for Galaxy devices in the Android 16 -based One UI 8.0 version.

The details in the software codes reveal that the South Korean company tested the “Telesekter on the Device” feature. This feature allows for users who do not answer the call, just like Apple’s lively voicemail system. This message can then be listened to the user.

Samsung will present its local telecekdere feature to Galaxy users in certain countries.

In the examinations made in the One UI 8.0 codes, the details of this function called “On-Device Voicemail” also appeared. The feature allows users who do not answer the search to store voice messages on the device. While the caller leaves a message, the user can answer the call at that time. This offers a more flexible use in terms of interaction.

Another remarkable element in the codes is that the time of bell sound can be personalized. The user will be able to determine how long the call will play. This detail stands out as a flexibility that is not presented on the Apple side. However, Samsung plans to make this feature available in only four countries in the first place.

Supported countries include Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Sri Lanka. This draws a restrictive picture for users in other markets. This type of limited regional distribution strategy can be applied from time to time for a feature in the development phase. But as the feature matures, it is likely to spread to more countries.

The biggest difference of this new system of Samsung with the counterpart in Apple is that the transcription, that is, the lack of function of the message to the text. Apple can translate the message of the caller into a vibrant manner and offer instant content to the user. On the Samsung front, such a transformation is not mentioned yet. However, the possibility of such a plug -in in the following versions should not be ignored.

Nevertheless, message registration and processing on the device can be very useful for users, especially in areas where operator support is insufficient. In countries where the voicemail infrastructure is not common, such local solutions become valuable. In this way, the user can manage calls without being connected to operator services.

On the privacy side, it also provides an advantage of internal processing. The storage of messages only on the phone greatly eliminates third -party access. This is a preferred approach to protect user data.

This feature of Samsung is not yet clear when it will present to the end user. However, the fact that it has entered the software codes indicates that the test phase has begun. It seems possible to try this function by wider user groups with beta versions in the near future.
