LG’s 2025 QNED evo LCD TV series will support 4K content wirelessly

LG introduced the renewed QNED evo LCD TV series for 2025. These new models, with screen sizes ranging from 40 to 100 inches, stand out with their ability to play 4K content wirelessly. The company now aims to bring this wireless solution, which it used in its more expensive OLED M series TVs last year, to a wider user base.

LG’s “True Wireless 4K” solution relies on an external device called Zero Connect Box. Although it is not fully wireless, connecting devices to this box eliminates the need to plug a cable directly into the TV. Zero Connect Box can transmit images at 4K resolution and 144 Hz refresh rate from a distance of 30 feet (about 9 meters). The only exception is that the TV’s power cable must be connected directly.

In addition to wireless connection technology, the new QNED evo series is equipped with the Dynamic QNED Color Solution developed by LG. This technology makes colors look natural and vibrant, just like in real life. In addition, devices equipped with artificial intelligence-supported features can scale images more naturally and make it possible for dialogues to stand out more clearly from background sounds.

Another notable innovation of the QNED evo series is the artificial intelligence-supported AI Magic Remote controller. When pressed for a long time with the special AI button on it, it allows users to make personalized searches based on their viewing habits. For example, a user planning a trip to Paris can give the remote control a command such as “Suggest movies about Paris” and the artificial intelligence will recommend movies about this city in the user’s preferred genres.

LG will share details about the new QNED evo series at CES 2025

LG has not yet shared any information about the pricing and launch date of the QNED evo series. However, the company is expected to reveal more details by exhibiting these models at the CES 2025 event. These innovations reveal LG’s claim in the field of both wireless technologies and artificial intelligence integration.

LG’s new series has the potential to take users’ visual experience to the next level with its advanced technology. In particular, its wireless connection features offer an attractive solution for users who want minimal cable clutter.
