LG is ready to launch its new LG V40 ThinQ smartphone on October 3. But not alone, the smartphone seems to get the LG Watch W7 smartwatch launch too the same day. This new LG Watch W7 smartwatch is tipped to run on Android Wear OS. It will support a mechanical clock setup also. There were various leaks about LG Watch W7 earlier this year giving the audience a complete detail of its features. But now, LG has finally mentioned launching this device. It reports that the device will be named as LG Watch W7.
A tweet by Tipster Evan Blass mentions that the launch of the new LG Watch W7 with the V40 ThinQ. The event for the smartphone launch is planned for October 3. Yes, both the devices will be launched just this week. The tipster has also mentioned an old Android Headline story talking about the LG Watch Timepiece. The headline hinted the launch of the same smartwatch. It is just the name that has changed to LG Watch W7.
The Android Headlines report has previously mentioned that the LG is looking forward to impressing the analogue and digital smartwatch lovers with a mechanical clock setup that has Android Wear OS features inserted inside. The analogue setup as per the report ensures long battery life as well as accurate time tracking. Further, it adds that the wearable can last up to a hundred days on a single charge if operated on a Watch Mode where the Wear OS is almost or entirely disabled. Once the watch’s 240 mAh battery depletes, it will continue tracking time for four days or a hundred hours.

Furthermore, the LG Watch Timepiece also called the Watch W7 is made of stainless steel. It will be IP68 certified. The LG watch features 1.2-inch LCD panel (360×360 pixels) holding 300ppi pixel density. Its dimensions are 45.5 x 45.4 x 12.9 mm and will have an interchangeable 22mm silicone rubber strap. Watch W7 will integrate 4 GB eMMC storage with 768 MB LPDDR3 RAM. It will power Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 SoC. The connectivity options in the watch comprise of Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and USB Type-C 2.0 port. The colour options will be New Aurora Black and Cloud Silver colour options. Consequently, the watch will cost not more than $250 (approx Rs. 18,100).
