Corporate spend management platform Jeeves announced a new equity investment of $110 million. While investments in enterprise software startups have been on the agenda again in recent days, Jeeves’ statement shows a different focus in financial technologies: The company will allocate the new resource to cross-country payments, corporate cards and its infrastructure working with fixed value digital assets.
CoinFund led the investment round. The list provided by the company also includes AllianceBernstein, Andreessen Horowitz, Coinbase Ventures, GIC, Y Combinator and other investors. Jeeves did not disclose what valuation he reached with this financing. Therefore, it would not be correct to calculate an exact market value for the company based on the investment amount.
In the same announcement, Jeeves states that it has launched its own stable-value digital asset wallet and provides payment transfer to 190 countries. The reach of the corporate card service expands from 25 countries to 35 countries. The company counts Argentina, Peru, Paraguay and Uruguay among new markets in Latin America. In addition, the plan to open an office in Madrid reveals the desire to expand activities in Europe.
The company’s service does not consist of just a card application. Bill payments, treasury transactions, expense tracking and receivables management are gathered under the same platform. Fixed value digital asset infrastructure is at the center of the claim of reducing time and cost in money transfer, especially for companies operating in different countries. However, it should not be assumed that this claim will give the same result for the banking system, currency and transaction size in every country.
Transaction volume and revenue are separated
Total annualized transaction volume across card and payment products exceeds $5 billion, Jeeves says. The annualized amount it provides for transactions with fixed-value digital assets is $1.5 billion. These figures are not the income entering the company’s coffers; platform trading volume calculated by dividing the current rate over one year. The statement also states that the income quadrupled in 14 months, but the absolute income amount is not shared.
New products include artificial intelligence-supported expense tracking and receivables module. If businesses operating in more than one country can monitor card expenditures and incoming payments on a single screen, accounting workload can be reduced. Finance teams, on the other hand, need control over data access, approval chain and reconciliation records. The presence of artificial intelligence does not eliminate these responsibilities.
Jeeves’ statement is not a new bank account for consumers or a service announcement opened in Türkiye. While the company talks about corporate card access to 35 countries, it does not include Türkiye among the new markets. For clear information about which products businesses in Türkiye can use and under what conditions, the local service scope will need to be explained separately.
