A new date claim has emerged for the production of the standard iPhone 18. According to the news dated October 15 by GSMArena, which shared the post regarding the iPhone introduction calendar, Apple has announced that this model into production at the end of November plans to buy. The claim originating from Weibo suggests that the standard phone will arrive with the iPhone 18e in March 2027. However, Apple does not confirm these production or launch dates.
The new post also describes the preparation volume as high. In contrast, GSMArena reminds that the same source claimed a few days ago that stock of the standard iPhone 18 would decrease. These two statements do not give an accurate result regarding the number of production because they do not use the same basis of comparison.
Moreover, starting production, pre-ordering and store sales do not describe the same stage. The end of November mentioned in the news is the date given by the leak source for production. March, on the other hand, constitutes the promotion expectation of the same source. Since there is no official announcement from Apple, these two dates should not be considered as a sales calendar.
Previous hardware claims cited by the news include a 6.3-inch OLED display, 120 Hz refresh rate and A20 processor. However, this information is not the technical specifications published by the company. In particular, it is necessary not to transfer the features of the standard iPhone 18 and the existing iPhone 18 Pro models to each other.
Apple already uses 120 Hz display on iPhone 17
There is an official starting point for comparison. Apple’s iPhone 17 announcement brings a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display and support for adaptive ProMotion up to 120 Hz on the standard model. Therefore, talking about the same screen size and refresh rate for the iPhone 18 does not mean that these two features will come to the standard series for the first time.
iPhone 17 uses the A19 processor and comes with 256 GB starting storage. In addition, Apple brings together a 48 MP main and 48 MP ultra wide-angle camera on the back. The Center Stage front camera allows you to take horizontal selfies without turning the phone with its frame sensor. These are the confirmed specs of the current phone, not the undisclosed hardware of the iPhone 18.
Apple introduced the iPhone 17 in September 2025. On the other hand, the spring calendar transferred today for the standard iPhone 18 is not based on the company statement. The new production claim does not provide any official documentation or numerical shipment target regarding Apple’s preparations.
