Apple lately launched iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and its iPhone XS Max smartphones in its event in Cupertino, together with the Apple Watch Series 4. To that, it has further stopped selling the older smartphones like iPhone SE, iPhone X, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus in the US. While we can understand the iPhone SE and iPhone 6s discontinuation, the iPhone X seems to be due to the new models since they have almost the same design and come in the similar price range, making older versions redundant. Talking about India, it is only the iPhone SE that is stopped, while the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus smartphones have seen a price cut.
This is a general tradition seen where Apple discontinues old phones or drops their prices. It has reduced the rates of the iPhone 7 and 8 series but planned to stop the iPhone X.
In the latest smartphones, customers can experience internal upgrades. This is the sole reason for discontinuation of iPhone X.
