Apple has not yet announced the iPhone 16 series. Despite this, rumors about the iPhone 17 series have also started to circulate. According to analyst Jeff Pu, Apple will include a 24-megapixel front camera in its 2025 iPhones.
According to Pu’s analysis for investment bank Haitong, all iPhone 17s will have 24-megapixel front cameras using 6P lenses. In January, another well-known analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, also said the iPhone 17 would have 24-megapixel front cameras.
Apple’s camera changes on the iPhone 17 may not be limited to this. The claim that the company was preparing to switch to mechanical apertures on its iPhones in 2025 was also on the agenda a while ago.
Apple’s iPhone 17 plans may change
As we mentioned above, the iPhone 17 is more than a year away from being introduced. Therefore, the company’s plans may change. However, the fact that multiple sources repeat this claim suggests that the 24-megapixel resolution claim may be true.
