iPhone 16 Pro Preliminary Review – Video

The iPhone 16 series went on sale in Turkey on Friday, September 20th, at the same time as in the US and other leading markets. Just before the sale, Apple Turkey sent an iPhone 16 Pro to our test center for review. I have been actively using this new phone for two days. A detailed iPhone 16 Pro review article and video will be published very soon, but before that I wanted to share my first impressions and comments with a preview video and article.

In terms of design, the iPhone 16 Pro maintains almost the same design line as last year’s Pro models. The triple camera array and square-shaped camera unit are still there. The Natural Titanium color of this device is also available on the iPhone 16 Pro, as on the iPhone 15 Pro. However, the flagship color of the iPhone 16 Pro series is this time desert titanium, or desert beige. The sides of the phone are made of titanium, the front is made of more durable Ceramic Shield glass, and the back is made of glass with a matte finish. Overall, the iPhone 16 Pro offers a stylish and solid design.

By the way, I prefer to use the silicone case that Apple sends. The case matches the Natural Titanium color of the iPhone 16 Pro and allows for comfortable use of the device. It also matches well with the new Camera Control button.

One of the most striking features of the iPhone 16 Pro is the “Camera Control” button. This new button offers a quick and easy way to take photos and videos. A single tap opens the camera app, and a second tap starts taking photos or videos. A light press and a double tap lets you switch between different camera app controls. This button makes it easier to take photos when using the iPhone with one hand.

The screen size is larger than the iPhone 15 Pro. The iPhone 16 Pro’s 6.3-inch display provides more space for watching videos or playing games. It also offers an impressive visual experience with its 120Hz Active Dynamic Refresh Rate and up to 2000 nits of brightness.

With the A18 Pro processor and 8 GB of RAM, the iPhone 16 Pro offers extremely powerful performance. Since the device is a bit larger, the battery life has also increased. With intensive use, I can reach a single charge time of 19-20 hours. Fast charging support has also been improved and with my 30-watt power adapter, it reached over 50% in half an hour. On the software side, iOS 18 comes loaded. Apple Intelligence will come with iOS 18.1, but this innovation will not be supported in Turkey yet.

The iPhone 16 Pro’s camera is also quite powerful. With a 48-megapixel main camera, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a telephoto camera, you can take good photos and videos. Like the iPhone 16 Pro Max, it can zoom up to 5x. This will be a convincing factor for those who have difficulty deciding between the 16 Pro and the 16 Pro Max.

The iPhone 16 Pro also features a sound mixing feature for video recording. This feature allows you to better adjust the sounds during video recording. There are four different options: Standard, Frame, Studio, and Cinematic. This feature is especially useful for those shooting in noisy environments.

Overall, the iPhone 16 Pro is a very powerful and useful device. With its large screen, improved performance and innovative features, I can say that the iPhone 16 Pro is undoubtedly one of the best iPhone models. The new camera control button, the voice mixing feature and the improved camera system make the iPhone 16 Pro an ideal device for photography and video shooting.
