iOS 27.2 brings smart suggestions to the Messages app

Apple is testing the Messages app to generate action suggestions from conversation content in the iOS 27.2 beta. The feature, which is the continuation of the innovations introduced with iOS 27, is being tested in the structure opened to developers in Apple’s beta version registrations. The stable release date and the scope of Turkish language support have not been finalized yet.

When the system detects the date and time in a conversation, it can suggest creating a calendar event. It is also expected to offer a shortcut for Reminders when mentioning a to-do task. In this way, the user will be able to take action without copying the text and moving it to another application.

Photo suggestion aims to find images that match the content of the speech. For example, when a particular trip or person is talked about, relevant photos can be featured in the sharing area. The final selection and submission will be made by the user.

Since the feature is still in beta, its interface or scope of operation may change before the final release. Apple can limit the functions in trial versions based on region, language and device hardware.

Suggestions are prepared according to the context of the conversation

Rather than producing ready-made answers, smart suggestions transform the information in the conversation into action. This distinction is important; The feature does not write messages on behalf of the user, but makes auxiliary steps such as calendar and photos visible.

On the other hand, how the content of the conversation is processed will be decisive in terms of privacy. Apple’s on-device rendering approach can be an advantage here; However, it should be clearly explained in the release notes which data goes to the server.

When the stable version of iOS 27.2 is released, the supported iPhone list and Turkish availability of features will become clear. Beta users need to take into account the possibility of software errors on their daily phones.
