Jaykihn, reliable technology leakage, has revealed the technical details of Panther Lake and Wildcat Lake processors of Intel’s Core Ultra 300 series. The Core Ultra 300 series aims to provide high performance and energy efficiency, especially on mobile platforms. The promotion of these new generation processors is expected to take place in the second half of 2025. The series is expected to provide a remarkable competitive advantage with different core configurations and AI performance.
Intel Panther Lake processors are based on the high performance cores called Cougar Cove and the 18A production process. Although the official statement has not yet been made, Linux patches and leaks indicate that these processors are designed only for mobile devices. In the Panther Lake series, three different variants are planned to be launched. Although a fourth variant has been mentioned before, the existing leaks were not included in the details of this variant.
Processor structures and performance features
Panther Lake processors will have a maximum 16 -core structure. This structure consists of 4 performance (P-Core), 8 E-Core (E-Core) and 4 low power core (LP-Core). It is also stated that it will provide support to 12 XE3 GPU core in terms of graphic processing capacity. These nuclei indicate a remarkable increase, especially in artificial intelligence workloads by providing performance up to 180 Tops (trillion process/seconds). Equipped with the PCI 5.0 connection standard, these processors aim to provide a wider dataway capacity for external GPUs and high -speed storage units.
Apart from Panther Lake, the Wildcat Lake processor family is planned for lower power consumption and performance requirements. Wildcat Lake will offer a maximum of 6 CPU seeds, 2 GPU seeds and 40 AI Tops performance. These processors use PCIe 4.0 technology, while Thunderbolt and high -speed memory support are also available. Intel’s LPDDR5X and DDR5 memory support in both processors families can provide faster data processing and energy efficiency on future laptops.
The most striking configuration in terms of game performance is the 4P+8E+4LP+4xe3 model. In this model, the number of GPU cores is one -third lower than the highest level of variant, but the performance balance is achieved with the 12 PCIe 5.0 line. This feature can be advantageous, especially in gaming computers and high -performance workloads.
Leaks reveal that Panther Lake processors will increase up to 35 %compared to Lunar Lake in the NPU performance of NPU (nerve processing unit). A total of 180 Tops performance for artificial intelligence functions shows that processors can easily manage more complex AI workloads. Similarly, it is stated that the U-Series processors of Panther Lake will lack the efficient (E) nuclei and the graphics unit capacity is reduced.
