Insta360’s new 360-degree action camera X6 came to the fore with an extensive leak before its official launch. Marketing images shared by WinFuture’s Roland Quandt reveal the design of the device, some of its technical features and its possible sales price in Europe. According to the shared information, Insta360 X6 will come with a more compact body compared to its predecessor. Despite this, the general design line largely retains the Insta360 X5 model.
Leaked images show that there is a fisheye lens on the front and back, as in the previous model. The screen on the back is positioned directly under the camera this time. The battery compartment along with the power and recording buttons are located on the side of the body. This layout suggests that despite the smaller size of the device, there will not be a major change in usage habits.
Insta360 X6 can offer 8K 50fps video recording
One of the marketing images confirms that the Insta360 X6 can record video at 50 frames per second at 8K resolution. This value means a significant increase compared to the 8K 30 fps support offered by Insta360 X5. Thanks to the higher frame rate, smoother images are expected to be obtained, especially in scenes with fast motion. In addition, it is considered that shooting flexibility may increase for professional content producers. On the other hand, it should be noted that this information has not yet been confirmed by the official launch.
However, the smaller body of the device also raises some question marks. It is not yet known whether the more compact design will lead to a change in battery capacity. Accordingly, it is not clear how the usage time on a single charge will be affected until the official technical specifications are announced. Since long battery life is one of the important criteria in action cameras, this issue will be evaluated in more detail after the introduction.
According to the information shared by WinFuture, the standard version of Insta360 X6 will be available in Europe with a starting price of 689 euros. The Essentials Bundle package, which includes more accessories, is expected to be priced at approximately 789 euros. Although the company has not officially announced the launch date yet, successive leaks indicate that the Insta360 X6 may be available in a short time.
