Huawei Pura 70 Series preview – Video

Huawei held the global launch of the new members of its new flagship smartphone series Pura 70 at an event held in Dubai today. The series opens to international country markets, including Turkey, with three models: Pura 70 Ultra, Pura 70 Pro and Pura 70. These three models attract attention with their impressive features and superior performance. At a special event held by Huawei in Istanbul last week, we had the opportunity to see these new phones with our own eyes and witness some of their prowess.

Pura 70 Ultra stands out as the highest level model of the series. The device, which has a 6.8 inch LTPO OLED screen, offers 1260 x 2844 pixel resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Powered by Kirin 9010 processor and 16GB RAM, the phone comes with 512GB and 1TB storage options. The Ultra model also has an impressive rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera, 50MP telephoto camera and a 40MP ultra wide-angle camera. With its retractable lens structure, the main camera can change the aperture between 1.6 and 4.0. A mechanical sound is heard when the camera app opens, then the main camera lens comes forward. Thus, the red frame surrounding the main camera is also visible.

Pura 70 Pro promises a performance close to the Ultra model with its 6.8-inch LTPO OLED screen, Kirin 9010 chipset and 12GB RAM. The rear camera of the device, which has 256GB, 512GB and 1TB internal storage options, consists of 50MP main, 48MP telephoto and 12.5MP ultra wide-angle lenses.

Pura 70, the base model of the series, comes with a 6.6 inch LTPO OLED screen, Kirin 9010 processor and 12GB RAM. Offering 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage alternatives, the phone's rear camera setup consists of 50MP main, 12MP periscope telephoto and 13MP ultra-wide angle.

Huawei Pura 70 Series stands out with its camera capabilities

Huawei demonstrated the camera capabilities of the Pura 70 Series phones with several devices it installed in the event area. Of course, the main hero was the Ultra model. Thanks to the XD Motion engine in this model, it can photograph moving objects very clearly. When we photograph the colorful wind roses with the number 70 on their wings during their return and look at the photos we took, we witness that the number 70 is clearly visible.

The telephoto camera on the Pura 70 Ultra and Pro allows impressive macro shots by focusing well at very small distances such as 5 cm. Since it is a high-resolution sensor, details are also very good in these shots taken using Super Macro mode. Moreover, it is possible to use these super close-up capabilities not only when taking photos but also when shooting videos.

All three models have connectivity features such as 5G support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band GPS and NFC. While Ultra and Pro models support BDS satellite calling and messaging features, the base model only supports BDS satellite messaging. However, we do not expect these satellite-based communication features to be used in Turkey.

All members of the Pura 70 series stand out with high-capacity batteries and fast charging capabilities. The Ultra offers a 5200mAh battery and 100W wired / 80W wireless charging, the Pro offers a 5050mAh battery and 100W wired / 80W wireless charging, and the base model offers a 4900mAh battery and 66W wired / 50W wireless charging support.

In terms of design, the Ultra model has a glass front, aluminum frame and silicone polymer back cover, while the Pro and base model come with a glass back panel. All three phones have IP68 water and dust resistance certification. In the Pura 70 Series, Huawei generally continues the design line of the old P series. In terms of color options, Ultra black, white, brown and green; Pro black, white and purple; The base model will be offered in black, white, blue and pink colors.

On the software side, the Pura 70 series, which will come out of the box with the EMUI 14.2 operating system, includes advanced security features, rich camera capabilities and artificial intelligence-supported optimizations. We expect the opportunity to use Google applications and YouTube easily and smoothly, which we saw in the Huawei Nova 12s review, to be available on this phone as well. On the other hand, new locked screen options also come with EMUI 14.2. A more fun usage opportunity will be achieved with emojis, special icons and more.

While the Huawei Pura70 Series maintains the general design line of the P Series it inherited, it promises a richer and more advanced experience, especially with the capabilities it offers in terms of camera hardware and software. While the Kirin 9010 processor offers flagship-level performance, it will also make this phone ideal for a long-term investment with 5G support. Easily accessing YouTube and Google applications will be one of the aspects that keep the Pura 70 Series models strong against their competitors. If we receive one or more members of the Huawei Pura 70 Series, we will have the opportunity to convey more details about the experience it offers. If you have questions, you can share them with us on social media.
