Huawei officially announced the Nova 16 SE model, the new member of the Nova 16 series, in China, in accordance with the schedule it shared previously. Standing out with its large capacity battery, the smartphone combines 8,500 mAh battery capacity with a 120 Hz AMOLED screen and HarmonyOS 6.1 software. In addition, the company states that the screen has a peak brightness value reaching 8,000 nits. The device is available for pre-order in China with different storage options.
There is a 6.84 inch AMOLED screen on the front of Huawei Nova 16 SE. The panel, which supports a 120 Hz refresh rate, aims to provide a smooth user experience and promises better visibility, especially in outdoor use, thanks to its high peak brightness. On the hardware side, Huawei’s Kirin 8020 processor works. The phone is offered with an internal storage capacity of up to 512 GB, providing ample space for high-resolution photos, videos and applications.

One of the most striking aspects of the device is its 8,500 mAh capacity battery. The smartphone complements this large battery with 66 W wired fast charging support. The high battery capacity targets users who want longer usage time, especially in intensive usage scenarios. On the other hand, 66 W fast charging support also contributes to charging the battery in a shorter time.
On the photography side, Huawei Nova 16 SE comes with a dual rear camera system. While there is a 50-megapixel main camera at the center of the system, it is accompanied by a 1.5-megapixel Red Maple color sensor. This sensor, which Huawei has recently used in different models, aims to help increase color accuracy. On the front, there is a 32-megapixel camera for video calls and selfies.
On the software side, the phone comes with the HarmonyOS 6.1 operating system and also brings two-way satellite messaging support. In addition, dual SIM support, dual-band Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C connection are among the technical features of the device. The model, which has a side-positioned fingerprint reader for security, provides protection against dust and resistance against low-pressure water splashes thanks to its IP65 certification.
Huawei offers the Nova 16 SE in four different color options: Cherry Blossom White, Dawn Orange, Star Night Black and Sky White. On the pricing side, the starting model with 128 GB storage carries a label of 2,499 yuan (approximately 17 thousand 620 TL). The 256 GB version is listed for 2,699 yuan (approximately 19 thousand 30 TL), and the 512 GB version is listed for 3,199 yuan (approximately 22 thousand 550 TL).
The phone can now be ordered via Huawei’s official online store in China. The first deliveries are planned to start next week. The company has not yet made a statement about whether the model will be offered for sale in international markets.
