Chinese technology giant Huawei's new flagship, MateBook X Pro 2024, caused controversy in the USA. This laptop, which stands out with its powerful hardware even though it weighs only 980 grams, has caused great criticism due to its use of Intel's Core Ultra 9 processors with artificial intelligence, despite the embargoes imposed by the US government.

Promising a top-level user experience in every respect, Huawei MateBook promises. This model, which is stated to be ideal for use in business, entertainment and education, was released with the Windows 11 operating system.

Huawei's new laptop model; It is designed to deliver high performance in areas such as work, entertainment and education rather than gaming. This model offers flexibility to its users with 16 GB and 32 GB RAM options and 1 TB and 2 TB SSD storage options. In terms of connectivity, MateBook X Pro supports the most advanced standards such as Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 and has two Thunderbolt 4 and USB-C ports. In addition, it is designed with an elegant structure with a thickness of 13.5mm and aims to offer its users a reliable usage time for long hours with its 70 Wh battery and 140W fast charging support.

This laptop, which also has a 1080P resolution camera, is also assertive in terms of durability with its aviation-grade magnesium alloy body. In terms of sound, it has a six-speaker system and promises high sound performance to users.

However, all these advanced features also reignited Huawei's ongoing embargo problems in the USA. While the US embargo against Huawei continues, the use of Intel processors, especially those with artificial intelligence features, in Huawei devices has created a great contradiction. Regarding this situation, Republican Congressman Michael Gallagher expressed concerns about the US Department of Commerce's policy of allowing technology transfer and stated that this is one of the biggest mysteries of Washington DC. When the Ministry of Commerce and Intel refused to comment on the issue, the debate became more heated between the technology and business worlds.

Huawei has not yet responded to these criticisms and requests for comment. It is a matter of curiosity what strategy Huawei MateBook X Pro 2024, which has attracted great attention in other parts of the world, will follow against these legal and commercial issues in the USA. The course of this debate will directly affect Huawei's position in the global arena, especially considering the great importance of the US market in the technology world.
