Along with its new product range, which includes the Mate 80 series smartphones, the foldable Mate X7 model and the MatePad Edge tablet, Huawei also introduced its newest fully wireless headset model, FreeBuds Pro 5. Positioned in the premium segment, Huawei FreeBuds Pro 5 headphones stand out with their lossless sound transfer and advanced active noise canceling (ANC) features. It seems that Huawei offers remarkable technical improvements compared to its previous models in this field.
The FreeBuds Pro 5 model hosts the new Kirin A3 chip specially developed by Huawei. This chip works with the headset’s NearLink E2.0 connection technology, providing support for lossless audio transmission up to 4.6 Mbps. Each headphone features an ultra-linear dual-magnet bass driver as well as a microplane treble driver. This dual driver structure aims to provide a more balanced and clear sound experience from low frequencies to high frequencies.

There is a wide range of support for audio codecs. FreeBuds Pro 5; It supports popular high-quality audio codecs such as AAC, SBC, LDAC and L2HC. In addition to all this, the new model comes with Bluetooth 6.0 support. Fast switching between devices and simultaneous multi-connection features make the user experience more fluid. Looking at the durability certificates, it can be seen that the headphones have an IP57 degree of protection and the charging box has an IP54 degree of protection.
In terms of battery performance, FreeBuds Pro 5 is quite assertive. While the headphones can provide up to 8 hours of use on a single charge when ANC is turned off, this time can be increased to 33 hours with the charging case. When ANC is active, the usage time is 5 hours, and with the box, it can reach up to 22 hours in total. These values promise satisfactory performance for daily use.
FreeBuds Pro 5 is offered to consumers with four different color options: Earth Gold, Ice Silver, Snow White and Sky Blue with vegan leather texture. This variety of colors offers alternative options for users who prioritize aesthetic preferences.
The model is currently only available for sale in the Chinese market via Huawei’s official website. The price tag is determined as 1,449 Chinese Yuan (approximately 8,700 TL). Although there is no official information about when it will go on sale in international markets, considering that previous FreeBuds models have expanded to global markets, it seems likely that this model will also be available in different regions in the future.
