Honor Power 2’s 10,000 mAh battery has been officially confirmed

Honor has been talking about its new smartphone model Power 2 for a while. With the document published by China’s official certification agency 3C, the battery capacity of the device, approximately 9,886 mAh, was also confirmed. The company is expected to express this value as 10,000 mAh during the launch. This figure indicates a large capacity that is unusual in mobile devices.

This development is not limited to just a single device. Honor plans to introduce two more models equipped with different processors and supported by large batteries. Besides all these, it can already be said that Power 2 is the most striking among these three devices. A new balance is about to be established in the smartphone world with battery capacity. On the other hand, these developments also reveal that the importance given to energy efficiency in the middle segment is increasing.

Honor Power 2 will not be alone

According to Digital Chat Station, known as one of the reliable sources on Weibo, it seems that Honor will not be content with just Power 2. One of the three models prepared by the company will use the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 processor, and the other two will use the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 and Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 platforms. This difference may have been made to provide specific solutions for user profiles. However, it is not yet clear whether the same battery capacity will be used in all models. However, considering the general structure, expectations that these devices will be equipped with similar levels of battery power become stronger.

The company’s processor selection also shows how much attention it pays to performance balance. Users expect not only long-term use but also a smooth experience. At this point, the choice of strong players such as Qualcomm and MediaTek suggests that performance and battery life will be brought together under the same roof. Despite the hardware differences of the devices, they may all be aimed to promise a long usage time. This entire approach reveals that Honor focuses not only on battery time but also on the overall user experience.

The screen features of Power 2 started to become clear with the leaked information. Accordingly, a 6.79 inch LTPS OLED panel will be used in the device. This display can offer both image quality and energy efficiency with 1.5K resolution. Thanks to the structure of the panel, it will be possible to achieve long screen on times with its large battery capacity. This can make a difference, especially in areas such as video consumption and gaming.

A large screen may not be an advantage for every user; However, with this choice, Honor may be targeting the audience that prioritizes multimedia consumption. Large-screen devices generally consume high battery, but thanks to the 10,000 mAh battery, this balance seems to be maintained. However, how this size will be reflected in the total weight of the device is also an issue that needs to be evaluated. Such details are critical, especially for long-term handheld use. For this reason, it will become clear with the launch what approach Honor adopts on the design side.

Clear information about the release schedule of Power 2 has not been announced yet. However, previously revealed information points to the first half of 2026. As the launch date approaches, full technical specifications will be shared by official sources. Besides all this, it is also wondered whether the device will remain exclusive to the Chinese market. Because it is still unclear how such high battery capacity models will be received in the global market.

The strategy put forward by Honor with these three models can be interpreted as an effort to provide a clearer response to user expectations in the middle segment. Especially users who prioritize battery time may show more interest in these devices. However, the large battery capacity is not a factor that alone determines user preferences. Other criteria such as performance, screen quality and ergonomics also play a big role in the decision making process. Therefore, it seems that Honor not only offers a large battery, but also pays attention to the overall user experience.
