Honor Magic 8 Pro starts its global promotional journey from Malaysia

Honor is preparing to bring the Pro model of the Magic 8 series, which it introduced in China last October, to the international market. The global journey of the device started in Malaysia. Honor Malaysia announced the model with the phrase “coming soon” by making a series of posts on its official X account. However, no clear information has been given about the launch date.

The promotional process focuses only on the Magic 8 Pro model. This shows that the company prefers to highlight the Pro model compared to the standard version in the global market. It is still unknown whether Magic 8 will be included in the process in Malaysia. However, there has been no hint of this model in the posts made so far. Considering all this, it seems that Honor has made its strategic choice in favor of the higher-equipped model.

Honor Magic 8 Pro does justice to its flagship features

Magic 8 Pro stands out as a phone that stands out especially with its hardware level. The model, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, seems ready for users who want intense processing power. Switching between applications is extremely smooth and system stability is quite high. In addition, there is a visible improvement in game performance. The device is expected to provide high performance in daily use.

On the screen side, there is a 6.71 inch LTPO OLED panel. The resolution value is kept at 1256 x 2808 pixels and the screen is supported by a 120 Hz refresh rate. In addition, eye fatigue is minimized thanks to 4320 Hz PWM dimming technology. The peak brightness of the panel, which can reach up to 6000 nits, makes it easier to view content even in direct sunlight. The screen is quite assertive in terms of color saturation and clarity.

As for the cameras, the device is equipped with a versatile system. There is a 50-megapixel main camera on the back with optical image stabilization (OIS). This main camera is accompanied by a 200 megapixel periscope telephoto camera. This second camera, which can offer 3.7x optical zoom, is also strengthened with OIS support. In addition, the 50-megapixel ultra-wide angle sensor with autofocus also performs well in detail shots.

The front camera is also kept strong in terms of hardware. This 50-megapixel camera with autofocus offers an impressive solution, especially for users who produce social media content. The camera experience has expanded to a wide range, with portrait modes and artificial intelligence-supported shooting options. Clarity and light balance are among the striking factors in video calls. The performance offered by the front and rear cameras may make this model preferable for mobile photography.

On the battery side, a large cell with a capacity of 7,200 mAh was preferred. This capacity offers long-term durability even under intense use. Users can easily spend a full day on a single charge. However, official details about fast charging support have not been announced yet. Despite this, looking at previous models, there is a high probability of fast charging support.

On the software side, MagicOS 10, built on the Android 16 operating system, welcomes users. This new interface offers smooth transitions and customizable elements throughout the system. Interface performance is not compromised during multitasking. Artificial intelligence-supported recommendation systems are shaped according to user habits. The software experience works efficiently, especially for productivity-oriented users.

It is not currently clear in which markets the Magic 8 Pro will be available. However, the promotional campaign that started in Malaysia suggests that other regions will soon follow suit. Considering the interest shown in Honor’s previous models in markets such as Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, it is estimated that this model may follow a similar path.
