Honor is sharing more and more details about the Magic 7 smartphone that will be introduced soon. The company recently confirmed that the device will be officially launched in China on October 30. Honor CEO Zhao Ming gave clues about the design of the phone and highlighted some of its features in a live broadcast.
Magic 7 seems to adopt the thin bezel trend that has become popular lately. The published images include thin frames on all four sides of the phone and a four-sided curved design like its predecessor. These aesthetics show that the device has a very modern and clean appearance.
A pill-shaped cutout at the top of the front of the phone attracts attention. This cutout is most likely reserved for the selfie camera and 3D facial recognition system. This detail, which we also saw in Honor’s previous models, indicates that users can benefit from the facial recognition feature more securely.
CEO Zhao also showed off the back of the phone, but the protective case on the device hid most of the design. However, two diagonally placed lens apertures, an LED flash, and an additional aperture most likely reserved for laser autofocus were clearly visible. New posts are expected for clearer information about the rear design of the device.
Honor Magic 7 will come with AI Agent
On the software side, Zhao Ming also showcased the development of Honor’s artificial intelligence-supported voice assistant, AI Agent. Apparently, this assistant is now much more intuitive and capable of performing a variety of tasks with simple voice commands.
In a demo where Zhao commanded “Order three coffees,” the phone quickly searched for coffee and completed the order within minutes. Users just confirm the order and pay, and the assistant handles all the remaining transactions without any problems.
