Honor 600 series becomes official with 200 MP camera and huge battery

Honor introduced its new 600 series smartphones to users in the global market. Unlike the 500 series, which was previously limited to China only, the Honor 600 and 600 Pro models are available in international markets from day one. The new models stand out with remarkable design changes and hardware updates.

The element that stands out at first glance in the new series is the large camera module on the back and the vibrant orange color option. Although the design lines resemble the iPhone 17 Pro series in some respects, the devices clearly reveal their position on the hardware side. In addition, offering high level resistance against water and dust thanks to the IP69K certification is among the prominent features of the series.

Both models have a 6.57 inch AMOLED screen. Offering 2728 x 1264 pixel resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate, these screens are supported by high brightness and advanced eye protection technologies. 3840 Hz PWM dimming and hardware blue light reduction features aim to increase eye comfort in long-term use. In addition, the HDR brightness value, which can reach 8000 nits, provides an advantage especially in outdoor use.

Honor 600 series camera and performance features

While the Honor 600 model comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite platform is preferred in the Pro model. This processor is known as a solution used in last year’s upper segment Android devices. Both models offer 12 GB RAM and up to 512 GB storage options, which provide a smooth experience in daily use as well as in intensive application scenarios.

Although the two models share a similar basic structure on the camera side, the Pro version offers a distinct advantage. Both devices have a 200-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. In addition, the 600 Pro model features a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera and 3.5 times optical zoom support. On the front, a 50 megapixel selfie camera is preferred in both models.

Battery capacity varies by region. While the models sold in the European market come with a 6400 mAh battery, this capacity increases to 7000 mAh in the Asian versions. While 80W fast charging support is offered as standard, there is also a 27W reverse wired charging feature. In addition, the 600 Pro model includes 50W wireless charging support.

On the software side, the devices come with MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. While Honor’s artificial intelligence features have a wide place in the interface, the new feature called “AI Image to Video 2.0” attracts attention. This system allows multi-modal video production on the device. In addition, a customizable artificial intelligence button has also been added to the devices.

Honor 600 series is available in black, gold white and orange color options. In Malaysia, the Honor 600 model starts at around $657 with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. The 600 Pro is priced at approximately $784 for 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, and $835 for the 512 GB version. Sales start as of April 30.

On the other hand, the series is expected to enter the European market in a short time and local pricing details are expected to be clarified in this context. Considering the hardware and features offered, the Honor 600 series is positioned as an alternative that stands out especially with its camera capabilities and battery capacity; Despite this, design preferences and regional battery differences constitute a point of evaluation for users.
