HarmonyOS NEXT will make Celia assistant smarter

Huawei’s HarmonyOS NEXT update aims to make its Celia voice assistant smarter and more useful. According to information shared on Weibo, there are some interesting changes in the developer beta 2 version of HarmonyOS NEXT, and these changes show how Huawei users will benefit from the Celia virtual assistant.

To-do list management with Celia assistant

Weibo user @FixedFocus shared his experience with the HarmonyOS NEXT developer beta 2 update. While examining the new features, he realized that the Celia voice assistant has become more intelligent and useful in daily operations. With HarmonyOS NEXT, users will be able to add tasks from their to-do list directly to the Celia assistant app. It is stated that this operation only requires a simple drag-and-drop gesture.

Huawei phone users will be able to drag items or tasks from their to-do list to the Celia assistant located in the navigation bar at the bottom of the device. This will enable the assistant to run AI services to manage these tasks correctly, eliminating the need to issue commands for each new task.

Another source noted that HarmonyOS NEXT’s Celia app is a step forward from MagicOS 8.0’s Anywhere Door feature, which allows users to quickly drag and drop files or other media content into the app of their choice via a virtual door.

It is stated that this new feature of HarmonyOS NEXT will make task completion on devices easier and more practical. Users will be able to easily access the Celia assistant without making multiple taps.

During the official launch of the HarmonyOS NEXT beta in June, Huawei also shared how the new software will enhance the functionality of the Celia app. The company announced that it will upgrade an ordinary assistant to the Celia super assistant app, equipped with better AI capabilities and useful features. Equipped with Pangu Large Model 5.0, the Celia assistant will be 90% more efficient in logical and reasoning areas.

Some new Celia assistant features have already been revealed in the latest test build, but more updates, improvements, and AI tools are expected to arrive with the stable release of HarmonyOS NEXT.
