Google’s new foldable phone will be larger than the first Pixel Fold

Google’s foldable phone Pixel Fold has a relatively compact 5.8-inch screen compared to other foldable phones such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and OnePlus Open. However, this situation seems to change with Google Pixel Fold 2. The company is preparing to present its new foldable phone in a slightly larger case.

According to on-screen analyst Ross Young; Pixel Fold 2 will come with a 6.29-inch cover screen. The size of the foldable screen will be 8.02 inches. This shows that Pixel Fold 2 will be a larger phone than Galaxy Z Fold 5. Samsung’s latest foldable phone has a 6.2-inch cover screen and a 7.6-inch foldable screen.

The dimensions in question show that the Pixel Fold 2 will come close to the OnePlus Open. OnePlus Open has a 6.31-inch cover screen and a 7.82-inch foldable screen. Young states that the cover screen of Pixel Fold 2 will be large like its predecessor. The foldable phone is expected to be introduced at Google’s I/O event in May. However, there is a different claim on this issue.

Google Pixel Fold 2 launch may take place in autumn

According to previous leaks, at the heart of Pixel Fold 2 is Google’s Tensor G4 processor. The company preferred the Tensor G3 processor in the Pixel 8 series. If Tensor G4 is preferred in Pixel Fold 2, the launch of this phone may be postponed to autumn. It will not be a surprise to encounter new leaks about this phone in the coming period.
